Hello monkie_gurl2,

This usually happens when the browser cannot access the internet. Make sure your firewall settings allow the browser to access the internet. Also, make sure you are connecting to the internet ok by checking email. And internet explorer can help diagnose the problem by selecting the 'Tools' menu option and then selecting 'Diagnose Connection Problems...'. Finally, the internet explorer settings can be examined and changed by selecting the 'Tools' menu option and then selecting 'Internet Options'

I thank you for giving a rating to this solution if it has been helpful.

Have a great day,
martyshaw562

Have you tried typing www.google.com into the address bar.
I have had this problem when connecting a new PC. It is usually set to log onto MSN and this has caused me problems.
Also try control panel / internet options / connections / lan settings. and making sure the automatically detect settings is ticked

Internet explorer cannot display webpage

If you were able to post this question online from the computer in question, you have internet access. If this was posted from another computer, you don't have access at all so contact your internet provider. If it was posted from that computer, a trip to the store for it to be checked for corruption and/or viruses/malware is recommended. If you want someone to remotely access your computer to help, internet access is necessary so you need to determine that first.

Why does my computer keep saying Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage, and i have great wifi connection?

There is a typo in your homepage URL. Internet Explorer tries to display this non-existent page
every time you start up your browser.
Fix - jump through these GUI hoops, and type in your favorite URL (Universal Resource Locator).

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

If the error comes only with a particular website then it is possible the website is not operating or has closed down.

But if the error is coming with all websites then your internet connection may be faulty. Hard to provide much more help without details of your internet connection type, the operating system on your laptop, etc.
