Hi
If you would power up the unit for the first time then you will see that the Win 7 has been already preinstalled and it's ONLY need to finish the setup process...
This will take some time... however... after the Win 7 installation you can find an preinstalled user manual... most people don't read this and this is a big mistake...
In user manual you can find all the details which you have mention here in the posting
> 1) There is no DVD media with Windows 7 recovery.
There is an HDD recovery option available which allows you to recover the unit without the recovery disk... but you can also create an own recovery disk using the preinstalled tool called Toshiba recovery disk creator!
> 2) During the install process you MUST follow all standard options (no extra partitions) if you want to be able to use the recovery partition on the hard drive every again.
As far as I know Toshiba preinstalled Win 7 is an image and does not allow to change the partitions... you can change this only if you use the Microsoft Win 7 disk and this should be clear...
However, the recovery disk should be created ALWAYS as because there is always an risk that something would go wrong with an HDD or partition...
With reocvery disk you are always on the safe side

Your keyboard is damaged.
You can get a Toshiba replacement for around $35.00 to $50.00
You can also attach a USB desktop keyboard, and will work as well.
SOURCE: How do I fix error:
Hold in the number 0 while the pc boots it should take you to the restore factory settings option, once follow any instructions and it should recover the problem.
If not you should take it back to the shop you bought it as it is a windows fault, and as most Toshiba pcs do not come with any recovery disks now, they can send it back to the manufgacturer to be repaired. The fault is a windows activation error so as long as you have a warrenty or recite of purchase they may even replace it for you.hope this helps.

If you have to ask HOW, I recommend that you STOP and take the laptop to a qualified technician. He/she can order the correct replacement keyboard, and then correctly and safely "pull" the keyboard, and replace it.

The F8 button is to get into safe mode not for wireless!!!!
There is either a button near the lid to switch it on or off.
Alternatively right click on the wireless icon at the lower left and switch on.
