The stagepas 300 has two fans. Both of them are known to go bad. you can order the two fans from yamaha, but they are very pricey for what they are. (unless your service tech like me :-)) The part numbers are AAX62021 and AAX62041.

Please get the microphones checked seperately If there is an impedance difference orr if the coil is damaged then this difference of sound is possible.

Contact for assistance by dialing (888) 892-6242 Monday through Friday, from 7:30AM to 5:00PM Pacific Time (closed 12:00PM to 1:00PM). You can contact them at that number ask them for the replacement fan for your component. I tried to find the actual parts if you were to go ahead and pull the bad fan out you can just take it in to a local computer shop most likely the fan is a basic fan make sure the voltage and the size is the same before installing I would do this to save money and time. Check it out anyway to see if you can find a fan locally. Bestbuy has all that stuff if you have one in your area take it to them or a local computer repair place. As you know do not continue to run the unit without the cooling fans working otherwise you will end up with a burnt system. Thanks for using FixYa! John
