Some amps will not power up internally if u donot have remote wire. Also if u connect power then remote wire it will not power up until u reconnect in correct order. But if all that is ok. Than u have a bad amp

Have you confirmed that you have a good signal feeding the amp?

Have you confirmed that the speakers are in good working order and don't have any breaks in the wiring?

SOURCE: i have a 2000 watt hifonics brutus amp ...it

there is a step up converter inside the amp that likes to come loose from the board. This may be your problem. Otherwise Check all the chips for burns or disconnect

I have a brutus bxi 1206d 1200 watts, and the amp is coming on fine not protected. But there is no sound output. u can hear a small feedback rumble when connecting the input rca's. But thats it. My...

i would check the speaker cables to see if something came disconnected first maybe wire i touching other terminal shorted out the channels output .

run a new set of rca cable to see if one use are bad . check to see if rca cables pluged into right output of radio . check to see if your remote wire is powering up the amp to turn on the amp ..

will still light up with battery power but will never put output to the speakers with out the remote turn from the radio ... how to check this is to disconnect the cable at the amp and take a short 18 gauge wire and strip both ends and touch the battery terminal at the amp terminal one end the other end where the remote wire is mounted on the amp if do this for a few seconds to see what happens or better yet buy a digital volt meter and check for 12volt a the remote wire when you turn on your radio

I have 2 12 inch jl audio w7's with a kicker crossover and a powerbass equalizer 5 bands. i wanted to know if add a hifonics brutus 2100 d class amp to my subs at 1 ohm would it over power my subs. please...

Short answer: NOPE!

The Hifonics Brutus 2100 is stated to produce 2100 watts RMS @ 1ohm load. Most amplifier manufacturers overstate their claims. The 2100 watt output is most likely at 14.4 volts and not the 12.6 volts your car will actually be providing the amp.

But, even if the actual output was 2100 watts that would be 1050 watts to each 12w7. The 12w7's are rated at 1000watts RMS and 2000watts peak. As a MECP certified installer, any system I have done using 12w7's have had a MINIMUM of 1000 watts being provided to each speaker. My personal preference is to run 1500 watts each and keep the gains adjusted lower on the amp. Thus allowing the amp to run cooler and allow the additional headroom for those "show-off" moments!

I bought a hifonics bxi2006d new and doesnt turn on

you should not have any spark from your ground...you may want check and make sure your ground is properly installed. Try wiring the amp without the cap and see if that works.

Hifonics bxi2006d stays in protection

I am Maxxsonics distrubutor, they will not release the diagrams to anyone but they may sell you a new board. i have had 1 out of over 500 of the 2006 / 2008d amps do the same thing and they replaced the amp completely because they have so few extra repair parts for them (cuz they rarely fail)
here is their direct number just ask for Kellie and she will tell you what they can do for you.

Okay i have a problem hifonics brutus 1500 mono d class amp

well your amplifier is obviously going into protect mode,(i used to have this amp and it is awesome) anyway i would go through just to be sure and check all the power connections with a test light, remote wire, positive, and ground. and check the fuse to see if it is still good. you can buy a test light at wal-mart and any automotive store. if you stil have a problem then i would check to see if your running below 1 ohm on this amp. that would cause it to go into protect mode. if all this fails i would just go buy a new one.
