How to unlock the child lockof electrolux washing machine EWF85743

When the child lock is activated, there will be a key symbol in the display and all the washing machine buttons will be disabled. To deactivate the child lock, press and hold the start button for three to five seconds. After this time you will hear an audible beep and the key symbol will disappear.

6.1 Child lock function
This option prevents children to play with the appliance while a programme operates. The programme knob and the touchpads are locked. Only the on/off button is unlocked.

Activating the child lock option
1. Press the on/off button to activate the
appliance.
2. Press and hold touchpads (A) and (D) at the same time until the child lock indicator comes on.
• It is possible to deactivate the child lock option while a programme operates. Press and hold the same touchpads until the child lock indicator goes off.

Is the light on under the temp and spin buttons?If so,push those two buttons at the same time and hold till unlock

Also in wash cycle where water is still in the machine,the door will be locked and must first be shut off then turned back on and choose rinse and spin then start to get the water out of the machine.It should unlock after completion.

Go into the settings menu and find the lock setting put in the code usually 0000 and then unlock.

Hi we have a bosh, and to remove that lock, I push in and hold in "start"button, with power on. It might be another button, but same procedure.
