Check your yahoo mail id properly. Go to the 'My account" page and confirm your mail id whether its yahoo.com or yahoo.co.in or yahoo.co.uk or whatever. Then try sending to the right mail id which will let you recieve mails.

SOURCE: i can recieve email but I cant send any email out

If you can successfully receive e?mail messages, but can't send messages, then Windows Mail is having problems connecting to the outgoing e?mail server that's used to send messages. These are likely possibilities:

  • If you've never been able to send e?mail successfully using Windows Mail, your e?mail account is probably not set up properly. First, follow the steps to verify your e?mail account information in the "I can't receive e?mail" section of this help topic. If you verify that your e?mail account information is entered properly, you might need to change your authentication settings so that when sending mail, you sign in using your e?mail user name and password. Check with your e?mail provider to see if it requires authentication for sending e?mail.
To use authentication when sending e?mail
    1. Open Windows Mail by clicking the Start button 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33.png, clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Mail.
    2. Click the Tools menu, and then click Accounts.
    3. Under Mail, click your e?mail account, and then click Properties.
    4. Click the Servers tab, and then, under Outgoing Mail Server, select the My server requires authentication check box.
    5. If the account information that you use to send e?mail is not the same information that you use to receive messages, click Settings, click Log on using, and then enter the user name and password that you use to send e?mail.
  • Many Internet service providers (ISPs) require you to be directly connected to their network to use their outgoing e?mail servers. If you're using a mobile PC and connect to the Internet using a different ISP (such as when using a wireless connection in a hotel), you might be able to receive, but not send, e?mail. Some ISPs will allow you to send e?mail when connected to a different provider if you use authentication when sending. Follow the previous steps to use authentication when sending e?mail. If your ISP doesn't allow this, you'll need to find out the name of the outgoing mail server for the ISP you're currently using, and then change the settings in Windows Mail to use it.
To change the outgoing mail server settings
    4. Click the Servers tab, and then enter the new mail server in the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) box.
    5. If the new outgoing mail server requires authentication, under Outgoing Mail Server, select the My server requires authentication check box.
    6. Click Settings, click Log on using, and then enter the user name and password for the outgoing mail server.

SOURCE: trying to send an email

Hello Marianne,
make sure that the attachments (if any) are not too large since some email services do not allow those.
In some cases, an email containing potentially offensive vocabulary can be rejected automatically.
Make sure that your recipient looked in his junk email folder and also that he did not block messages coming from Yahoo.
If those steps do not solve your issue, please tell me which email service is your recipient using.
Regards,

Have you used the correct receiver address? If so, ask the receiver to check his/her spam folder and look for it.

When I REPLY to SOME emails I get"message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was ....... etc." But when I create a new...

If you are using email like OutlookExpress, or Windows Mail, you may have linked to multiple email address' . So when you hit Send / Recive, its checking 2 or more email adds.. If so, one of them is not setup correctly for the Outgoing server. When you create a new email, it uses your default main email address, which is apparently setup correctly. When you reply to a mail which came in on the "other" account the outgoing server setup is wrong, resulting in the message you recieve.
You should go over the server setting for each account other than your default email account.

I recieve letters but donnot know how to reply back

With your received email on the screen, click "Reply" button near the top with the other tabs. A new message screen will open with the senders email address already in the "To:" field. Type your reply. Hit "Send" button.

You may wish to only reply to the sender.

When i reply to emails sometimes the message does not register in the sent folder but goes in the draft folder instead, how do i know if my email has been sent?

They will only go to the draft folder if you accidentally click the Save to Draft option instead of Send. It is very easy to do! If an email has been sent it will go, by default, to the Sent folder.

If you locate the email that you have replied to or sent then highlight it and then right click on it a drop down list will appear.

Select and click the View Full Headers option at the bottom of the list. This will give a popup window containing header info. If you read through it will show the following:

  1. From which should be your email plus the date and time
  2. a whole bunch of misc characters
  3. From with your name / email address shown
  4. Subject – whatever the email subject was
  5. To – Name / email address of who you sent the email to or replied to
  6. Content Type – plus some unintelligible info
  7. Content Length – which is the true size of the email plus any attachments.

If you can see this then it conforms that you message has been successfully sent from you email account.

Note: It does not show or guarantee that the email has been received or read at the recipients end.

Noreply keep send me error everytime i send a text 2 facebook

Hi there

E-mail addresses with "noreply" in them will not receive your messages. They auto-reject incoming mail. Please find the correct address for the recipient.

Hope this clarifies.

How do i unlock my contacts?

1. Ensure they have the correct email address. Send them a test email, have them reply to it. If you cannot receive it, then you have something blocking the email, or re-directing it to Spam or Jumk email folders.

2. Look in the spam/junk email folders, see if the emails are there.

3. Log in to webmail, see if you can see the emails there. If you can, then you have some application blocking, removing them.
