my conclusion is you have a BIOS failure.. that symptoms is typically a BIOS problem. just like mine. bring your laptop to the IBM service center.

jack.. you may be better off contacting customer service for your laptop.. they may very likely have a service center you can take your laptop to in your country... I believe fixya is only internet based.
