Question about Konka K2386U 23" TV
Unable to disable parental lock to watch tv or change the channel.
You can try these codes 2211 or 3308 if they do not work you will need to reset the unit. You will need to unplug it for 45 minutes that will reset the TV to factory settings. Then the pass codes I provided should work.

BMW they dont use back up batterys any more in a tv set or at least the sets that Ive worked on. they use volitile memory mostly by way of an eeprom or built in eeprom in side the microprocessor. Just thought I would pass this on to ya.

Firstly, who set the paraental mode to on. To do this they must enter a code or password. Bring the menu display up on the TV screen and switch to Parental mode. It should ask you for that password. Enter it and unlock the set.. Another way which I wouldn't recommend unless you know your way around the innards of a TV set. Would be to find the battery backup inside the set, Remove it, go hqave a cup of coffee and then come back and reinsert the battery. You may have to retune the set but the parental control should be off. Does your set have a reset button somewhere on the back. If it does then it will do the same as removing the battery. As a last resort contact the manufacturer and ask them how to disable the problem. BMW

For all AKAI direct view sets: hold down "F" button on remote (top left button), and press mute. This removes the little red key from the OSD

I have the same problem!! Now we've lost the remote and my universal won't work with this crap tv. We have digital tv that currently I can only get 13 channels on and the big black box is in the middle of them all, and you can't get it off without the konka remote!! (ps if you hit the display button on the remote it temporarily disables it). My tv is pretty much unwatchable unles we're watching a dvd. I've contacted the company to no avail. No customer suppor whatsoever.

If you have a remote, press the (F) function key down and hold while pressing the mute button.

Tips for a great answer:
Look at the screen. If you see a red key on the bottom of the screen,
press "Function" and "Mute" on the remote at the same time.
This will unlock the channel. Do this if you want to bypass the lock to watch a
certain show or channel while leaving the TV locked. All other channels will
remain locked and the TV will lock again when it is turned off.
• Unlock all of the channels on the TV by
entering 0711 or 3308. These are the Jensen factory reset codes that will reset
the TV to the original factory settings. By doing this, you will loose any
information that you have stored in the TV, such as channel labels and
schedules. You will have to program the TV again by going through the entire
initial set up.
•Call the technical support service number
in your owner's manual if neither of those codes work. A technician can help
you troubleshoot the television as the problem may not be the parental lock
feature. Have the model number and serial number of the TV available when you
• Take your television to a TV repair shop if neither of the codes work and the TV locked by itself while it was turned on. In this case, the TV may need to be rewired
