Blue Shadows I have blue shadows around shapes (such as someone's head) and words.

Is picture 3d looking? Blue or red shadows around faces or words?


This is a convergence problem: let me know if it looks like your problem or comment here with more information and I will help.

Open the front panel, till you see three knobs, adjust those knobs till you get the right picture again.

click on the alignment button and have the machine automatically start the realignment process
it is not color realignment but printer head alignment that is the problem

DID YOU CHANGE THE OIL? OBVIOUSLY MY RESPONSE IS A JOKE!!! DO YOU THINK THAT YOUR TROUBLE IS POSTED IN THE WRONG LOCATION.

You have possibly contaminated fluid in your blue picture tube if it has a hazy look.Blacks and whites look bluish and whites have a blue bloom to them.The other problem could be bad convergence amps.This would be double image around letters on the screen.

Sounds like coolant in the CRTs need changing. Blue is always the first color to get contaminated. Hope this helps.

Al, bring up your convergence grid (look in menu for it) and I think you`ll find that the set is out of convergence, if you can adjust the red up & down and the blue up & down your ok, if they won`t move in one or both directions the convergence IC`s will have to be changed out, hope this helps, BMW Rider

coolant on picture tube need to be replaced hard job to do with not enough experience and knowledge , a tech can fixed 1 to 2 hour job with parts around 300.00 or less dependig on the tech.
