Not good. At least the remote is working fine. With high cost of labor and parts you might just be better off dealing with it or replacing unit.

Can turn on the tv from front panel swith. component inputs work. composite inputs and remote control do not work

Point the remote at your cell phone camera and press a button on the remote. You should see a purple pink light appear in the image of the camera. If you don't, the remote is bad.

Tv has worked for ever with the remote now remote has failed and the on off swutch doesnt work to turn it on and off How can I program another remote if I can turn it on?

First, check to make sure the front keyboard is not locked out. Press and hold the menu key for 10 seconds then release. If it was locked out, then front panel buttons should work. If no change, you likely have a problem with one of the ten contact switches on that panel. Remove the front speaker grill by pulling it off, then trace the wires from the front control panel (you may need to remove the cover off the front of TV). Unplug the wires to the front panel and try by Remote control. If the remote works, you can purchase ten tact switches and install or just leave the wires unplugged and use it like that.

Can i put my tv on input without the remote

If your tv's front panel isn't working at all and the remote isn't either, then there is a simple fix. The only thing is that you will only be able to control your tv with the remote only. You can disconnect pin 4 at the connector of P001B on the front control panel circuit board. That will disconnect all the tack switches but allow the use of remote. First take your tv rear case off (there is 3 small torx head screws on the rear input/output panel, remove these first. Then there is two torx head screws on the left, top, and right side of the case facing rearward and connecting the black rear portion to the front silver portion). Once the rear case is off, there will be the front control panel circuit board attached in the front of the tv that needs to be unscrewed. Once unscrewed you can see all the connections labeled with eithers words or numbers. On the P001B connector on the front panel circuit board, there will be a 1 on one side and a 5 on the other. The pin 4 is naturally directly to the left of the 5 pin. There will be a bundle of wires leading from the front control panel to the main board of the tv which is on the bottom of the tv. Disconnect this from the main board. Then follow the #4 pin wire all the way from the front panel circuit board, to the connector end that you disconnected (This will be easy b/c they are in a flat bundle side by side). Then just completely remove only the #4 pin connector wire from the connector end. Wrap the end in electrical tape, plug the connector end back into the main board, and put the tv back together and it should work fine with the remote only (the front panel buttons will no longer work).

WS-55511 55in volume turns up by itself & can't switch devices

The remote is not the problem. The switch for volume up on the control panel has become leaky. Very common problem for this generation Mitsubishi. If you don't mind not having the control panel working you can disconnect it and the set will work just fine with the remote. To disconnect the control panel pull the speaker grill, it just snaps off, and remove the front access panel. Once that is done you'll see a cable going to the switches just disconnect it.

Starts running thru channels and inputs

The Micro switches are leaky. They are soldered on the control panel in the front. Either replace the panel or the switchs. You can test this by unsoldering all the switchs and leaving the IR Sensor. You can control the set by using the remote remote . If this help let me know.

Panasonic PV-8400 Remote sensor not working?

This is indeed a faulty IR sensor. If it's just the sensor, swap with your good one to check. From memory they are plug in - a little device behing d the smoked translucent facia (display panel). I have come across this several times with Panasonic VCRs. Check whether the remote works at night time with all fluorescent lights in the room switched off. If so, the IR filter circuitry is faulty. Same solution - replace IR sensor on VCR.
