Sounds like it is off balance even when it is washing. now it is leaking water

I would call the washing machine repair person for a quote as i don't even know what machine it is eric

even when overflowing it shouldnt leak from the door? less u have a bad door seal? the water problem may be due to a bad water inlet valve? have u notice water in the tub even when ur not using it? check with a multimeter the inlet valve and the water pressure switch? blow into the water pressure switch while it is in the wash mode filling with water and if it starts washing the diaphfram is good if not its faulty. u can also checl the water inlet valve the one with the hoses attached . by running either a hot or cold cycle only and turn off the hot then turn off the cold? see if it continues to over flow with each cycle? hot then cold- GOOD LUCKKKKK

Sounds like your water pump leaking and a broken timing belt. The water pump runs off the timing belt, and sounds like your water pump took out the belt. The winding noise you hear sounds like the engine crank turning but not the cam shaft, broken belt, no compression. Have someone watch the harmonic while you try to start it. If it's turning, that's your problem.

What is the model number of the unit?

I've experienced this on occasion. stop the washer, redistribute the clothes, etc. so it is evenly balanced. The "rocking" occurs when the balance is uneven.

Aged over 15 years is old.... Sounds like leak could be door boot seal banging could be a bearing perhaps a new machine is best...

The machine sounds as if it might be unsteady. If it only happens on the spin it is probably slight. Try levelling it at the feet, using a spirit level helps enormously to get it level.

My Advice?
Don't even try!........anyone that thinks that it is smart to keep on using a machine that leaks is not only dicing with death by electrocution, but also has a mindset that this experienced Techo would suggest does not make them a good candidate to tackle a repair.

Sounds like a seal or drain hose is leaking or the clamp on a hose has vibrated loose.

Water leaking out the bottom of the machine when washing machine begins agitation cycle. If the machine is turned off the water stops leaking even with the tub full of water.
