Sounds like a laser issue. Take it to an authorised repair shop for service.

get rid of some either messages,or files you've saved.try to think what you've been storing on it a lot.photos?recorded tv? etc.then retry what yr doing to get that message

Ok you might need to have it cleaned professionaly worse comes to worse have the lens replaced, something ether got on the lens or the laser is not reading or writing correctly. Can it be fixed? Sure depning on the problem inside I could not tall you 100 p[ercent as I have not looked at the unit.

You might want to take a gander inside and see if the lends is not dirty.

Remove and reinsert the batteries to see if the error code will reset. Generally speaking, there is nothing you can do to correct the problem other than to send the camera to the appropriate factory service center for correction of the error. Following the repair cost, you should decide whether it worth it.

I had the same problem with my recorder except that it wouldnt play any discs at all.. I finally unplugged the recorder and left it unplugged for 16 hours. Now it is fine. I am not getting any error messages.

It sound like a problem with the zooming mechanism (lens would not retract or extended) Press the power button on and hold it down while extending and twisting the telescopic zoom lens. It might fix you problem. In any case it could not make it worse Good luck!
