Toshiba error E25 - Toshiba DVR620 DVD Recorder/VCR

There was a power interruption and now that's all I see when I try to record stuff off a cable box. I've reset the box so many times in the trouble shooting part just trying to get it to work I've switched the cords from front to back changing the inputs and yet nothing. When I plug the yellow cord Video in is when the error pops up. I just tried unplugging it then pressing the power for 10 seconds but nothing happened everything came back up. Maybe if I get new Verbatim disks currently I'm using Sony also I have a HDMI cable hooked up between the box and the machine don't know what it dose but its there

Sounds like a laser issue. Take it to an authorised repair shop for service.

I just got it like a few months ago and when ever theres a hiccup it usually gets that way. Sorry for going off on ya but from a site called fixya IDK guess I was kinda hoping fir a better answer than that"

OK, if you have the skills required, try cleaning the lense and if that doesn't work, replace the laser assembly. If purchased through fleabay, don't expect it to work but it might. Lots of fakes out there. Purchase it from a know supplier or your local electronics repair shop.

Using the toshiba DVR620 and dubbing vhs to dvd+rw

I hook up an external monitor with a speaker. An old portable TV will do it, preferably one with a line in and line out. Connect your VHS machine to line in on the DVR620. Connect your monitor to line out and audio out. Monitor as you play.

Toshiba DVR620 manual chapters lost

Sadly DVD makers don't make there machines compatiable with home recorders software. I'm afraid there's nothing you can do about chapter markers in this case.
