Why will my Merlin Prolift 230T garage door opener light will not turn off. When I unplug it and then plug it in again it flicks on and off a few times and then stays on.

loosen of the bar retainer and under neath the bar there is a small screw( could be philips head or a small hex head bolt) tighten that until you can pull up on the chain about the center of the bar but the inside of the chain stays inside the groove in the bar ( about 1/8 ")

Pull the emergency release handle. Use remote to open door then close it again with the remote. Now re engage the emergency release. That should put the chain in the right position for proper operation.
Check for black marks on the wall or something it may be hitting . (if so the track is to tight to the wall)..... also Release the door from the opener and check it manually make sure its smooth and balanced correctly two panels up two panels down
If the chain is loose I would definitely tighten it up to remove the sloppiness of the drive. That will in turn help you to accurately find the sweet spot that is currently eluding you. And you have to work fast because you do not want to overheat the motor.
There is a fuse in a Model M-230T and I have seen a service man change it.Now that the fuse has blown again, I want to change it myself BUT can't now find it!
Can anyone please offer a guide to changing the fuse?
