UNLOCKING STEPS FOR HTC TOUCH VIVA

1. Switch ON your HTC Touch Viva with a Not ACCEPTED SIM Card.
2. If your HTC Touch Viva asks for a PIN code, then enter your SIM card PIN and press OK.
3. HTC Touch Viva will ask to enter an "unlock code".
4. Enter Unlock Code we send to you.
5. Your HTC Touch Viva is now unlocked.

Back up all your files
And do a Hard Reset on your HTC Touch Pro

1. While the HTC Touch Pro is off, press and hold Talk/Send, End and Power until you see a message on the screen about deleting all data.
2. Release the buttons after the message appears.
3. Press the Volume Up button.

check what OS you are using...if XP then download active sync Microsoft website... if windows vista or 7 then download microsft mobile device center... your PC will then recognise the phone.

yes it is, but you cannot upgrade it to the new upcoming 7.1

please return your phone with warrenty card to the nearby authorized dealer....

you must have disabled that option, go to settings select power and there will be an option ie. "when device is turned on" deselect it.

You can tweak the bluetooth to give best results from the bluetooth option. But by doing this your battery charge will fireup very fast... :-)

Initially, Idea launched HTC Touch Viva handsets with their connections and a little customization favoring their services.

The handset that you have got, is an unlocked one (unlocked so that it can be used with any service provider). Hence, you see the Idea logo at the boot up.

Do not worry, the handset is genuine and original. I have the same one (with Idea logo) and it works perfectly (or rather say wonderfully).

Its a wonderful phone (Pocket PC). You just need to surf the web to see what all it can do for you.

The battery is flat.
If the battery is very flat sometimes the phone will not start charging or turn on even when a power cable is connected.

This worked for me:
- Remove battery
- Insert power cable/usb cable
- Orange charge light should start flashing
- Re-insert battery
- Leave phone charge for a couple of hours
- Turn on
