Why won't my food processor work? It is assembled correctly and it is still not working

I have tried everything but throwing it against the wall. I am very frustrated and just want it to work. I put the collar and the bowl on, locked the bowl, put the lid on and locked it. Placed it with the handle in front and locked the bowl. It is not working. The blade does not spin. I just want to make a graham cracker crust for cheesecake. It has not been used for a while.

Make sure you didn't trip your breaker to the power source .
Check to make sure when you put your bottom on and lock it that it is hitting the safety switch hope this helps.

The blade won't 'lock' on my kitchenmaid food processor. It is new.

The blade off the shaft or on it will not prevent the processor from starting. The safety interlocks are on the bowl, lid and pusher so look there for the problem.

Food processor no longer working

Power in the USA is 115 VAC not 240 VAC. The motor probably blew out the thermal fuse . This fuse looks like a small silver colored cylinder connected to the power cord inside the base of the processor.

Why wont my kitchenaid foodprocessor start?

Take the bowl off, turn it on in the centre at the front where the base of the handle would normally be there is a light coloured button/plastic piece. Push it in with a matchstick. If the motor now starts then you have a problem with the safety switching mechanism in either the bowl or the lid. It is more often the lid. The only solution is to replace the faulty part. Easiest is go to a service agent and buy whichever part solves the problem.

Food processor won't turn off

Probably going to require a new 3 button switch panel, they are not hard to fit.

Cuisinart DFP-14 Series does not start

First, do a motor test by removing the work bowl completely and using a pen to press in the grey button on top of the base (with the food processor plugged in and turned on of course), toward the back. If the processor spins, the motor is still good. At that point, I would inspect the work bowl pieces, lid, pusher assembly, etc for cracks/damage. If all appears well, insert ALL the pieces back into place and try again. For the DFP-14, remember: handle faces front, feed tube faces back, and metal element on back of pusher faces back of processor. Connect the pieces separately - if you try to put the work bowl on with the lid and pusher already attached, it will not always lock properly. If even one piece is out of place, the processor will not spin.

If it no longer spins, the motor has a problem.

Good luck!

Cuisinart sealing gasket

The gasket goes between the cutting assembly and the glass. So you slip it on over the top of the blades and then put the glass jar over top of that. Screw the bottom cap on to tighten everything together.
