I have a Cuisinart Smartpower electronic blender, model #SPB-7CH(TX5). When I push the on button, the light blinks. When I push a speed button, it also blinks, but the blender does not turn on. Any suggestions?
The thermal fuse is blown. You can buy a replacement from RadioShack for $1.69 You have to remove the old one and solder in the new one. If youre "handy" its very easy. Take it to a repair shop, you pay about the same as a new one. Its too bad that most electronics made today are cheaper to throw away and buy a new one rather than fix them when they break.
Where is the thermal fuse located on this model SPB-7ch (tx5) please give good details thank you for your time
I have the same problem. The panel lights work but the motor does not turn.
The machine is less than 6 months old. Can this be fixed under warranty?

After spending way too much time on hold, I finally found out that, since the warranty had run out, my options were; A: Pay $50 plus shipping both way for Cuisinart to "look" at the blender and see if they could fix it, then pay repair costs; B: Throw the stupid thing away and buy a new one (which I did). Good luck to you!
Speed lights are on, but blender (Cuisinart Smart Power SPB-7) won't turn.
