It sounds like in the process of updating, your APN settings got corrupted.
Try resetting them:

If you are still having problems, downloading MMS photos, try turning off WiFi, then download. Some people have said this works for them. If that still doesn't do you justice, then you will have to contact Samsung Support for in depth help.
In either the Galaxy App store or the Google Play App store, download Samsung Cares app. In the app, look for contact Samsung Support. There should be several ways given to connect with them.
