Spray starter fluid (something flammable) in the carb and see if you can keep it running. If you can keep it running that way, your carb is not clean, not set up properly, mis-adjusted or ???
clogged fuel line. the choke restricts air flow if it runs fine choked it is probably getting too much air to run properly. those 2 seconds it is most likely running off a surplus of fuel from priming or something of that sort.
Check fuel lines and fuel filter for obstructions. I reccomend replacing fuel filter also. If this does not help is may be a fuel issue in the carburetor.
hi mike. most likely problem is junk in the carburator. Get a can of starter fluid and an assistant. Remove the air filter. Start it up and before you pull the throttle have your assistant squirt the starter fluid into the air intake. Use more starter fluid as needed to keep it running for about 2 minutes to clear it. Joe
sounds like you might have some trash in carb being a clogged pilot or main or needle seat in not letting in the proper amount of gas check all passages and use fresh gas if it has been sitting
Sounds like your flooding it out with the choke out. Try the next time you go to start the bike when it's cold with the choke out and when it starts push the choke all the way in and keep it running with the throtle. If it runs better after doing this then your flooding it on start up. Use 1/2 choke to start cold and see what it does. Good Luck
