I have a Sony KDS-70R2000 too and I recently changed the lamp as it was warning me to do so. I changed it and watched it fine last night but today it keeps switching off. I get a constant flashing green light and I am unsure what to do now. My number is 07932979959

you have to find the settings,the bulb timer needs to be reset or it will not work
Where do I find them Johnny? It won't stay on long enough for me to do so today. I tried last night and went through all the subsettings and couldn't find anything for bulb settings
can you hook it up to a regular tv??with rca plugs?? if so then you will be able to see the settings

read pg 9, of this service manual,,you can hook up a tv to it by,using an rca cable,plug the cable into the yellow plug "y" on the back panel and connect the other end to you video in on your tv,see the pic,the 4th row down is 5 plugs in a row,y is the first plug,that is your tv connection,then read the manualhttp://www.manualslib.com/manual/793411/...
I know how to do this part. My issue is that it won't stay on long enough for me to do anything. Just installed a new lamp today and it's doing the same thing. I am out of ideas now
I suspect it's the ballast as I have changed the lamp to an original with no luck. Are you able to advise where I can get one?
