Most likely flash drive format not compatible with your TV. Need to format flash drive to be compatible with TV. But you will lose everything on the flash drive.
Usually it works the other way around: you download videos to your PC, copy/transfer them to a flash drive and then watch those videos from the flash drive on the big screen of your TV rather than on your PC's not-so-big screen. To do what you want, check if your BT Vision box has the capability to copy files from its internal hard drive to the USB flash drive.
The device may be of "too low of quality"-- meaning..the device may be too "SLOW" to record the stuff you want to record...
Lower (cheaper) storage, is often not as "FAST" to record, as higher quality device... sadly.. the simple solution..return the device, and try another.
The USB port on TV's is to record a program onto a Flash Drive/Thumb Drive, which then you can plug the Flash Drive into your Computer to watch or download it on your PC.
I hope this helps you. If so please leave a vote or comment.
You can't. Cassettes are analog and the USB only recognizes MP3. The USB will only record off a normal CD or a CD with MP3s on it. It won't record other formats. The unit only allows to record from CD to cassette or from CD to USB. There are some cassette decks that will convert to MP3. Just do a search for "cassette to MP3 converter"

Well you put the output RGB (Yello, white, red) cable of your tv to your input RGB of you 404 camcorder. Let your camcorder go to input mode and start recording.
