Are the speakers active (I suspect not) or passive?

If passive speakers (no amplifier inside) change them for active speakers with an amplifier.

Speaker too low, hard to hear. can i adjust volume?

What phone do you have?
On most phones there are buttons on the side to adjust volume.
There are also options for volume in your device's settings, under sound.
If it is hard to hear someone during a call you can turn on speaker mode which will make the sound a lot louder.

How do I make the volume from my speakers louder than my computer speakers?

depending on the auxiliary speakers you have, there needs to be a power source (either batteries, a power supply, or an ac cord); and the power needs to be turned on. Symptom sounds like you don't have the external power connected or turned on.

Nokia 6303ci -low speaker level.Volume bar-on max. After clean -same.Someone told me that for this model is normal low speaker level, but I don`t think so.

If the original recording is on low volume then you will get louder sound on the player device while if the recording is at high volume the you get low levels on player. try recording at lower volume settings on the phone. Then when you play it it will sound louder on increased volume.

Please advise as to how to increase the VOLUME on my DECT 6.0 phone.

To adjust the ringer volume:
  1. With the phone in standby, press ^ or v. The display shows the current volume level and the handset sounds the ringer at that level.
  2. Use ^ to make the ringer volume louder or use v to make it softer or turn it off completely.
  3. When you hear the ringer volume level you want to use, stop pressing keys. The handset will use the new ringer volume starting with the next incoming call.
Note: If you set the ringer volume to Off, the handset won't ring. If you have any accessory handsets, other handsets will ring according to their individual settings.

To adjust the earpiece volume:

You can choose from six volume levels for the handset earpiece. To adjust the earpiece volume while on a call, press ^ to make it louder or v to make it softer. The handset display shows the current volume level for the earpiece.

To adjust the speaker volume:

You can choose from six volume levels for the handset speaker while on a speakerphone call. To adjust the handset speaker volume, press ^ to make it louder or v to make it softer. The handset display shows the current volume level for the handset speaker.

Note: The handset earpiece and the handset speaker have separate volume settings.

Sound at 50-70 is not that loud. we have another model same size and samsung that is extremely loud at 25.. i dont understand

Speakers sometimes become damaged when going at high levels from low levels and just switching like that..... This may be the cause for it to be kind of low.... Best not to turn it all the way up or it might just blow the speaker fully..... You may have a a volume limit set on it.... Check that, it might be not allowing your speakers to play any louder.... Otherwise, it is best not to have your speakers blaring, just have them kind of low, and your ears will adjust.... People lose hearing when they have their TV's turned all the way up and all loud... Plus it just kind of disrupts the peace of a home :) Good Luck :D

Yamaha RX-V1400 receiver powers off, in case it becomes louder

Hey, yeah that can be frustrating.

When you turn it up do you hear the relay or a clicking sound, then you turn it on and it comes back below the +2db?

Try unplugging All the speaker wires from the unit. Turn on the unit and listen for the click.
after the click, turn it up past the 2+ db mark and see if you hear it click or shut down. If it did not click off, then suspect a shorted crossover on one of your speakers.
2nd test is to plug in One speaker, and test it at high volume, it will not harm it. If it shuts off disconnect that speaker and try another. Only one at a time.
If it works at high volume, you need to isolate one of your speakers and i bet it has a shorted crossover that has been cooked. P.S. If one is bad, suspect they will fail at a later date.
If they all fail, use a friends speaker and try it before sending it to a repair shop.

P.S. i found one on ebay i think you can get for under $100 bucks in the box.

Speaker capabilites

I would say between 75 & 80. Or better yet, Just as it starts to sound distorted, then turn it down just a bit until it sounds good again. Clear i mean. Also if you want more volume out of that or you need it louder for whatever reason, you can hookup the output of the television to an Audio Receiver and turn it up extremely loud. Rock and roll. Good luck. Guru Jay

No speaker volume

Hey Mate, being honest weve sold alot of TFT monitors and most are hard to hear with all the volumes turned up, only thing you can try are. turn volume up to max on the monitors menu, also double click on the little speaker icon on the bottom right hand corner of the screen and a volume menu appears turn up WAV, & the main one on the left. if you are not getting any sound at all check you have the audio cable from the monitor plugged into the green connection on the back of the pc. Afraid thats the only options to get it louder or buy a set of speakers to get the sound louder. All the best John
