HOW DO I LOCK MY WIFI
SOURCE: netopia 3347nwg wifi locked!!!
Hello michael,
The lock you see indicates that the network you are trying to connect to requires a password for authentication.
You can access your ipod settings and enter the credentials by following the below steps:
1- First connect to your closed Wi-Fi network
2- Choose Wi-Fi, then tap Other and enter the network name.
3- Choose Security, tap the type of security the
network uses, and enter the password.
This should be it.
Have a good day.

Hi,
To secure your wireless router you should specify a WPA or WPA2 key (depending what your router supports).
To set it up please follow the steps below:
Make sure that you are connected to the wireless router, either wirelessly or directly with an ethernet cable.
Open internet explorer and type 192.168.0.1 on the address bar above and press enter. This the ip of your router. In some cases it may be 192.168.1.1.
The router will probably ask for a username and password which if you haven't set it will probably be "admin" for the username and "admin" or a blank password.
Then go to wireless settings and choose wireless security. Choose WPA2 if it is available (avoid WEP as it not very secure). Then enter a passphrase that you will remember and save your settings.
When you try to connect from your laptop or other wireless device it will ask for the type (WEP,WPA, WPA2) and the passphrase that you entered.
That's it!

You can setup your router filter by MAC address. That way only device with MAC on the list can access your router.
SOURCE: How do i get into the settings to lock my wifi so
You have to start your favourite browser (Internet Explorer or Mozilla) and go at the router's i.p. adress. For the Linksys this is usually http://192.168.1.1. Use your router's credendials (user - password) and go at the wireless network security and enable WPA or WPA2
security. Take a note from the passphrase that you will be prompted to
enter because when you are going to connect at this safe wi-fi you will
be asked for this passphrase. A good suggestion is to make all these
settings connected with ethernet cable, so in case something does wrong
not get youself out of the connection.
