Old Lg Beacon phone haven't used over a year w/ Metro PCS. Service locked. How to unlock, and the last di gh its of old number not working. Sure could use a little help. Thank you.

if it over 2 1/2 years old its free to unlock ring the provider that is lock to and ask for unlock code after you have code turn of phone put in a different provider sim restart then enter new code thats it.

Buy either an unlocked SIM card, or buy a Metro PCS SIM card from them. All phones use interchangeable SIM cards that "lock" the phone to a provider.

Hi , If you've changed service providers then you'll need to ring your new service provider and tell them you'd still like to use your old cell phone number BUT if you're putting your sim card into a new or different cell phone make sure that cell phone isn't locked to a different service provider than your sim cards provider, I hope this helped... The best thing to do is to contact your cell phone company, so they deactivate you sim card on your present phone, and reactivate it to your new cell phone.

Default 6 Digit Security code: 123456 or 000000


Type *#06# at the mobile screen to know IMEI no of your mobile.
send the IMEI no to me and i will reply you with unlocking code.

It is usually the last 4 digits of your phone number. If you have forgotten your phone number or the digits are not working, take the phone to your phone subscriber
u dial *22803 then it resets the whole phone and the ur passcode will reset to the last 4 digit of ur phone number but u have to listen to the voice prompts press 1 for english and it will ask u to prees 1 to program ur handset

if you havent changed any settings then its either the last four digits of your phone number or the year you were born

Resetting it will not unlock it. You need to use the security code to unlock it. If you changed the security code when you received the phone, only that code will unlock it. If you did not, the 4 digit code is usually the last 4 digits of your phone number. If it's the 6 digit code, and you did not change it, you'll need to contact Metro PCS for their default code. If you did change it, you'll need to contact Metro PCS to walk you through unlocking it, if they can. Then, don't let the kids get ahold of the phone, or remove it needing a code to lock it.
