My Elna 6005 just stopped everything went blank no power no lights no nothing what could be wrong?

Is there a fuse or something that needs to be replaced? I have tried other power cords and still nothing. Can this machine be saved?

No, should not have a fuse. Just plug in the cord carfully into the machine again. Make sure the wall socket has power first.
Could be that the foot pedal is burned out if it has been used a lot. But that is not too likely.

SOURCE: I have an Elna 6003Q

some call it a lamp cover door or face plate it's on the left side of the sewing machine
some sewing machines have a hinge at the back of the face plate, you can gently pull it open to change the bulb
some machines -in the middle of the face plate there is a plastic plug, use a screw driver to gently lift the plug & then unscrew the screw & change the bulb.put the face plate back on put the srew back in & put the plug back in to concile the screw

My elna 6005 keeps on stopping ande I get the message stop for safety purposes. I have just had my machine serviced and I really don't know what to do.

Something is not quite right. Double check everything...loose needle, plug ins, threading, bobbin area for loose threads, etc.

Keep in mind that you've jostled the machine moving it from the service to your home. It could be as simple as the bobbin race being out of alignment. If nothing you do works... take it back and give the the person who serviced it the "look." and make him/her fix it.

Power range / watts for Elna 6005 sewing machine

There will be a sticker or engraved fine print next to the power socket or on the bottom of your Elna that will say what voltages it is compatible with. If it says 110v/220v you can use a plug adapter.Note well that the adapter doesn't change the voltage in anyway it just makes the plug fit. If it only says 110v which is most likely get an AC to AC adapter, **** Smith Electronics or Tandy will be able to help. If you're unsure don't take the risk it will take a second to destroy the electronics if you use the wrong voltage!
