It is 6005 not 6003 BUT HAS THE SAME FUNCTIONS AND DESIGN!

Elna 6003 quilters dream isn't sewing properly. It makes one stitch and then jams around the bobbin and presser foot area. I wish someone would post a free copy of the instruction manual because I can't...

The reason for the jam could be the fabric is thick and this causes the foot to raise to the point the the tension is open that the top thread is feeding erratically.

Another could be the bobbin area needs to be cleaned.

Lastly, it could be the timing needs to be adjusted and this means a trip to the sewing machine dealer for service.

How do I raise the feeder feet on an elna 6003 quilters dream machine
There is a slide switch on the underside of the back of the free-arm. The feed dogs will not immediately raise when you slide it, the machine must make a full rotation for it to engage.

Elna 6003 just stopped working
Something caught inside the machine and jammed the mechanism. It blew a fuse to protect the circuit board. A competent Elna or Janome Dealer should be able to get you machine going in no time.I don't know of any reason to have trouble finding parts for this machine.

Feed Dog
Normally the feed dogs will come up on their own after the machine turns one complete revolution.
