Yes, should have a chart in the installation book that shows distances to windows.

SOURCE: Sterling Gas Heater

It sounds like you have a short somewhere. Possibly just a pinched wire? Scroll to the bottom of this page and download the installation / troubleshooting guide for more information.

SOURCE: Is it safe to run

If it's operating properly, is T-Stat controlled and is properly vented to the outside, it should be safe to operate all night. I suggest that you set the Wall Thermostat no higher than 50 degrees, though.

2004 territory has a water leak above the transmission Its coming from a small house from inside the car an the heater vents have also leaked water into the on the floor on the drivers side?

I would say clean out the hose first. Should any way, they do clog up. But you may have a bad heater core. Costly. You can bypass it. Find the 2 hose going into the fire wall and connect them together, till you can get it fixed, winter time is cold.

I am looking at a Dayton model 3e226 heater for my garage. can it be vented out the wall?

If done properly to code with double wall venting & an appropriate collar. But wow! Hope you have a huge garage. That's a lot of heater.

Bought a sterling 75 c garage heater burner lights but then 24 v transformer burns out

I didn't find that model but did see a pretty standard wiring schematic for Sterling garage heaters in one installation manual. I'm sure they didn't change much. I did notice they use a 50va transformer, not 40 which is likely what is getting used now. Don't think that would fix it, just an idea. Put a 5 amp fuse inline on the red side of the secondary side of the transformer. This will protect it. I'm willing to bet the ignitor section on the low voltage common is wired wrong. Remove the tstat wires, buy a resettable fuse and install it first. Then get the fan running first. If there is a g terminal jump red to green. This is fan only, start simple, hope this helps

I have a Sterling garage furnace, pilot is on ,but main burner will not light.

Be sure you turned the Control knob from Pilot to ON. Without doing that the heater will not turn. If that's not the problem, the Thermopile may need replacing. Also, check the volume of gas at the heater. It should be a minimum of 5 to 7 water column inches. If it has a wall thermostat, be sure the wires are correctly installed at the heater and the wall thermostat and the it's turned up higher than the ambient air temperature in the garage. If this is an older installation, be sure the exhaust vent piping is not blocked.

Is it safe to run a Sterling gas garage heater all night with garage doors down? It is on a thermostat and is vented to the outside.

Green light flashes when i try to start my TFO 75 garage furnace

Looked at Sterling garage heaters in general. 3 blinks read pressure switch. You should have code chart on furnace door. Pressure switch symptoms are blocked vent or moisture in small hoses connected to pressure switch or bad pressure switch. If small hoses have sags take off one end and dump or both ends and blow through.

Is there a connection between a warm floor and a water heater?

Is the floor warm just in certain spots or all over. If just in a certain spot you may have a hot water line leaking in floor.
