My dehumidifier is taking the moisture and water is filling the bucket but water is also leaking out the bottom

I have identified that a few possibilities to why water is leaking from the bottom of your dehumidifier could be a crack inside your bucket or condensation from the bucket. I would remove your bucket and look it over to see if you can locate any visible cracks or chips. How much water is leaking from your dehumidifier? I encountered a similar problem (using the bucket, but still getting water leaking onto the floor) with my 970E-E. The problem is a design flaw. If the bucket is not firmly pressed into the dehumidifier, there is a slight air gap between the bucket and the dehumidifier on the left side. Within the gap, warm moist environmental air cools. Water condenses in the gap and pools up at the bottom of the bucket shelf, eventually spilling over onto the floor. You can check and see if this is your problem by pulling out the bucket and inspecting for droplets along the left side of the bucket shelf. My solution was the bungie the bucket into the shelf firmly so that there is no air gap.

Why would you be putting water INTO a Dehumidifier??

The idea of a dehumidifier is to EMPTY the bucket, then the machine takes moisture out of the air, fills the bucket and you empty it again.

Are you sure you need a dehumidifier and understand how they work?

Based upon my experience with the same problem on my Kenmore 54701 last summer: The condensate water collects in a plastic pan below the coils. This pan has a single drain hole where the water flows down into the bucket. When I suddenly found water puddling on the floor instead of in the bucket, I opened up the unit, and I found that the collection pan's drain hole had become blocked by "bioslime". I cleaned out the goo from the drain hole, and the problem was solved.

A dehumidifier does not need water in the tank.It takes humidity out of the air and the moisture goes into the bucket. A humidifier has to have water in the tank.Note ,a humidifier puts moisture in the air, and a dehumidifier takes the moisture takes moisture out of the air.

Try cleaning the filter first. Wash it with water and let it dry overnight. Then make sure no debris is blocking the inside of the spiggot which fills the pan. The spiggot can get blocked by dust anddebris or insect webs. Clean thoroughly with a rag and your finger.
