Dc-sm168 Walmart I recieved this last year and never opened it up and when I did Sat there was no beaters in it I was going to make somethong and no beaters where can I buy them

More likely the pedestal base is bent. Your local service agent has probably seen it before and should be able to bend it back flat again. It's a brutal process with a heavy soft hammer that you probably won't want to see.

Click on Customer Care>Locate Manuals& Guides> and enter the 6 character model number (in your case, use KSM5PS)and select the last file listed that appear under Owners Manuals: and save that file to your PC. You’ll need to have Adobe Reader to be able to open it. Turn to Page 11 and you will find the instructions for adjusting the Beater to Bowl Clearance. I have extracted the instructions below:
Beater to Bowl Clearance
Your mixer is adjusted at the factory so that the flat beater just clears the bottom of the bowl. If for any reason, the flat beater hits the bottom of the bowl or is too far away from the bowl, clearance.
Tilt-Head models
• Unplug mixer.
• Lift motor head.

• Turn screw (A) SLIGHTLY counter clockwise (left) to raise flat beater or clockwise (right) to lower flat beater.
• Make adjustment with flat beater, so it just clears surface of bowl.
If you over adjust the screw, the bowl lock lever may not lock into place.

Bowl-Lift models
• Unplug mixer.
• Place bowl lift handle in down position.

• Turn screw (B) SLIGHTLY counter clockwise (left) to raise flat beater and clockwise (right) to lower flat beater.
•Make adjustments with flat beater, so it just clears surface of bowl.

Hi, KLOEHR, your beater will not lengthen by losing a screw. However, if you lost your Beater to Bowl Clearance adjustment screw, then it might appear that your beater had ‘grown’ because now the beater may be touching the bottom of your mixing bowl, where previously it had not. Simply said, the beater didn’t grow the mixer head drooped.

ROTHL, you must be joking. 18 years?!? You're lucky it still turns on. In the last 18 years (I do a lot of cooking), I've gone through 5 hand mixers.

Buy a new one.

I have the same problem again !! Surely these hand mixers should last longer than a year !!!

Hi. Truthfully, by the time you pay shipping you are money ahead to buy a new mixer. Go to Walmart where they have nice handheld ones in the 10 - 19 dollar range.

Hi. Your only contact with Durabrand is at Walmart where it was purchased. Walmart has sombody manufacture these things and then slaps the walmart brand, in this case Durabrand on them. You may not be able to find parts. Call your local Walmart and ask them.

If they can't get parts, try a small appliance repair place. The beaters just may be a common size . Good luck! ricardok45.

For whatever reason, Sunbeam must have decided to cut on costs and used a plastic gear to transfer power to the beater. I had my Sunbeam for two years and the plastic gear decided to break. End of mixer. You cannot find a replacement part anywhere. It is the last sunbeam I will buy.
