You will have to take out your screen and check its all dry, pluse your keypad and make sure thats dry,and if that dont work you may have to take it to a shop.

SOURCE: pls let me know how to rotate back original screen

Right click on an empty part of the desktop away from the icons and scroll down to you see either ATI or Nvidia control panel, if you do simply choose that and in the left hand pane you will see "screen orientation", choose "Landscape" or "0" degrees. Click apply and ok.

If there is no video control panel then scroll to the bottom and click properties, go to dispaly settings and then to advanced settings. Look for screen orientation and choose "landscape" or "0" degrees.

SOURCE: Screen coming on, but only displaying grey lines.

You might have blown it, you'll need to talk to a repairer to see if it can be repaired at a reasonable cost.

But what you can also do, is connect it to an external monitor. I've just had a look at the specifications on the web, and there appears to be a VGA port (blue trapezoid connector with about 21 pins/holes).

Using the Fn keys, you should be able to switch between internal and external monitors.

As for data recovery, you should be able to remove the HDD, buy an external caddy, put the HDD into the external caddy and use it as a backup drive and retain/access the files you need.

or, if you can use an external monitor, copy them to anywhere you like. For precious photos and music files, I would suggest writing to DVD.

There was no Vista driver released for you netbook, and if you have 7 I don't recomment you go back to vista, but if for some reason it is essential to you tis is how you can do it.

Install Vista, download your netbook drivers for XP here on samsung website.

Then follow this tutorial to install them under Vista.

Hope this helps.

Screen on Samsung NP n130 is half hidden by what looks like a multicoloured barcode

Sorry to say but your screen is damaged. It "MIGHT" correct itself by trying to warp the monitor - in other words twist it at the corners. However that "solution" may finish it off. You probably need to replace the display.

My screen is cracked and need to replace it. I found a screen but it does not seem to be the exact same one as mine. I have a samsung np-n130-ja01us and the one on sale it only says NP-N130. Should I buy...

The screen you found is an exact replacement.
Ok, the one you found may not have been built in the first week of January in the US, but it's the same screen.

How do i factory reset my samsung np n130

Glad to help YOU!

First thing first - you have to check if your machine has a RECOVERY PARTITION. Usually it's a D:\ drive and it's called like RECOVERY or FACTORY_SETTINGS.
You can access it by rebooting the machine and watching carefully the boot screen; it will write there to PRESS F12 or F11 to reach the factory settings. If your machine doesn't have a Recovery Partition, there's nothing else to do but to wipe out the hard drive and to re-install your operationg system.

GOOD LUCK!
