Maybee you are shooting the camera at very low shutter speed try to check the shutter speed first . if this does not resolve the problem you may need to drop the camera and the nearest service center and have you curtain checked . you might have reached the maximum shutter count and this needs replacment

It has some internal memory, for keeping track of things like the date and time. It does NOT have internal memory for storing photos.

Try another lens. It sort of sounds like the flex in the lens is partially cracked - like what happened to the shutter flexes in the old 35mm point and shoot cameras

My canon eos 600d won't take pics anymore is there a lock or something that could be released

Are you getting an error message or any other indication from the camera? Have you checked the memory card to see whether it's write-protected? What exposure mode(s)? What shutter release mode(s)?

EOS 600D in manual modes shutter gets stuck. I have to press the shutter button again to release it and take a picture. Help

Hey there,
I had the same problem, until just a few moments ago. If you have the Magic Lantern installed (just search YouTube, and you'll get some easy instructions), go to the intervalometer, and start the shooting. Then stop the shooting, and the camera should work again.
I wont guarantee anything, but it worked on my camera.

99.87% of the time all you need is a newly charged or new battery, even though the camera does not indicate this as so.

Hi, I have a Hahnel combi TF that i am using as a wireless flash trigger (not the wireless shutter release). When i turn the camera on, the flash on (jessops 360 AFD on the manual setting) and then turn...

This worked for me: The coiled wire + battery contacts on the receiver unit are quite flat.I took a small forceps (needlenose pliers would work as well), and pulled the coil into the battery chamber so as to make a more assured contact.

My cannon s21s has a blank screen

A stuck shutter is another common failure mode for digital cameras. The symptoms of a stuck or "sticky" shutter are very similar to CCD image sensor failure. The camera may take black pictures (for shutter stuck closed), or the pictures may be very bright and overexposed, especially when taken outdoors (for shutter stuck open).
To confirm a stuck shutter, put the camera in any mode other than "Auto", and turn the flash OFF (you don't want to blind yourself for the next step). Next look down the lens and take a picture.

You should see a tiny flicker in the center of the lens as the shutter opens and closes. If no movement is seen, then you likely have a stuck shutter. If so, please see this link for further info and a simple fix that may help:
