SOURCE: cordless receivers not working

If you have tried the phone base unit in the same jack that works correctly with your answering machine and you still cannot break dial tone, then you have a defective base unit. Jer

SOURCE: Satellite won't give me a dial tone

Make sure your phone bill is current, paid in full. If thats not it, then you need to contact your phone company because there is an outage. Give it some time to clear up. If yet even that doesn't fix the problem, It could be your handset. Hope I've helped some :)

How does one forward incomming calls on a uniden 2.4ghz cordless phone?

Cordless phones can not 'forward' a call to an outside line.
Forwarding must be controlled by the ATT, Verizon, or landline provider.
Please contact your provider to determine if you have call forwarding feature built into your service package.

Then, follow the instructions of your landline phone provider.
Here is the instructions for Verizon:

Activating Call Forwarding
You can activate Call Forwarding whenever you want your calls to be sent to another phone, including a mobile phone. Once activated, all your calls will be sent to the forwarding number you request. Each time a call is forwarded, you will hear one short reminder tone on your home phone, but you will not be able to answer the call from your home number.

  1. Lift your telephone's receiver and listen for a dial tone.

  2. Press star.gif7.gif2.gif.
In some areas you must use 7.gif2.gifpound.gif
Dial 1172 on rotary or pulse-dialing phones.

  3. When you hear the tone, set or change the Call Forwarding number by dialing the telephone number where you want your calls transferred.
You will hear the number you entered ring. When the number is answered, Call Forwarding is activated.

  4. If the call is not answered or the line is busy, hang up and call the number again within two minutes.
You will hear two short tones telling you that Call Forwarding is activated.

  5. Hang up the receiver.

How do you forward a phone call from this phone to a cell phone?

to forward calls...go to your phone service providers website and help section for complete instructions...
with most companies simply pick up the phone... wait for dial tone... press *72 wait for 2 beeps and enter the number (area code first) that you would like it to forward to...once you enter the number wait for the line to ring... once it rings and is answered you are all set!
if it doesnt ring or is in use.. try again within two minutes...you should hear two short rings if it is activated...
to deactivate call forwarding...
pick up the phone (in the office)
wait for dial tone and dial *73 or #73
you will hear two short beeps... it is then off..

Dial tone is active as I'm dialing, callers cannot hear me speak

Your phone is broken, the only solution is to replace it. Call Uniden Customer Service and they should be able to help you. 1-800-297-1023. ( I'm serious, there is no way you can fix this problem with out opening the base unit up and replacing a bad transistor)

Lucent partner 18 D phone no sound when I pick up the receiver

The plug going into the phone was not secure. Once it was fully plugged in it was operational. I was making a big problem out of a little one. I thought in cleaning the phone without unplugging it first I somehow messed with the programming. I was wrong. Thanks for trying to help.

This is the time that love cannot help with. Buy yourself a new home phone where the massages will pile up. erase all massages on your mobile phone. It is time to buy a cell phone which will record all masseges that you've received.

INTELLIFAX 2820 NO FAXES COMING THROUGH

Oops, I disconnected from the chat with you after I said I would stay connected. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask them here. Just for our knowledge base, in case anyone else has this problem - it turned out to be a short in the phone line. When picking up the handset connected to the fax machine, there was no dial tone. When connecting the fax machine to another phone line, the dial tone returned. After swapping out the phone cord between the wall and the fax machine to be sure that wasn't the problem, Jriedel is now talking to the phone company about it.

Can't receive fax

Pick up the receiver and see if you hear a fax tone noise. If so then push the start button and hang up. Is this machine on a dedicated line or shared with the main phone number? Sometimes some people will pick up the receiver on their fax machine dial the fax number and wait for a tone before sending. If this is the case the machine can not recognize that is a ax. Make sure your machine is set for auto receive if it is on a dedicated line.
