To help you change the brightness and contrast settings from the LCD monitor, please follow the instructions mentioned below,
The control buttons are located at front panel of the monitor. The Brightness Button is used to select the Brightness/Contrast adjust functions. Press to switch functions or adjust settings.
To decrease the brightness or contrast press (-) button & to increase (+) as per your adjustment.
First you need to know the Make and Model of the Monitor. Second, go back to store where you bought the Monitor and aske for a Manual. Third, when you learn about the Make and Model of the Monitor, search Google for an Instruction Manual to it. Any of these suggestions would help you!
umm...usually if it is a desk top there will be buttons either on the side, front or back or even the top, one looks like a sun and another looks like a square thats normally half white and half black. they are your brightness and contrast...push either end of the buttons to adjust more bright or less bright, more contrast or less contrast.
First off...
I would Re-Start your computer...OR...Shut down manually... to see if this fixes your problem. It's possible your computer didn't accept the changed setting? But...what you are experiencing is a Corrupt File, which will need to be removed!
Not sure exactly what you did? Where you trying to adjust the contrast, brightness, etc,.?
If you went through your Desktop to adjust these settings, always make sure you select APPLY and OK..
If you went through your System to Change your Resloution, you may have a Conflict with your chipset or even Malfunctioned it?
If re-starting your computer didn't fix your problem, than shut your computer down again!
Upon,..Re-booting...This time hold the Control Key down, so you can get into SAFE MODE!
I would then do a SYSTEM RESTORE under (SAFE MODE) and Restore your computer back to an earlier period that your computer was working correctly! Even, if you cleared the problem on the first step provided! Just type in the search box in your Control Panel System Restore! Or you can type in at the START Button...System Restore!
Also, while in SAFE Mode...go to your Device Drivers in your Device Manager and check for any setting that have a yellow symbol next to them...Click on each one and Update the Drivers!
Always, make sure...you Re-Start your computer after doing any changes...!

Try pushing the contrast button, and then some of the other buttons once the contrast menu is up. To control those menus you use the buttons on the front of the monitor, not the keyboard and mouse.
