Need the model number of the drive not just the name. The picture looks like a Laptop DVD/RW. The matter of it working is the connection type. First of all you need a sata burner.
The drive in this link would work http://www.meritline.com/pioneer-dvr-218lbk-black-sata-22x-dvdrw-drive---p-38212.aspx?source=fghdac
Try uninstalling through the device manager. Once uninstalled reboot and see if the drive is recognized and software/drivers install automatically. This should fix the problem. Hope this helps.
I have the HP Pavilion 9720us laptop, with a Pioneer dvr-k17b dvr. It is not recognizing any CD of DVD. What could be the problem. I have the latest drive update
Hi, according to what I understand the unit works for some situations especially but you cannot visualize the content, in this case the problem that you one presents shows off to be Cd-DVD's unit that this trumping, if the equipment this one even in guarantee, you must come to an CAS or Center of Authorized Service, in order that they diagnose and replace the unit
Imy burner will burn if I go into MY COMPUTER than into MY E drive but the auto burn will not work. I do have 1dvd click and ashampoo on the computer as well, but when I put a disc into the computer it will not automtically work. I was wondering if the above programs are stopping the auto play on it or what? The burner works fine if I go to the E drive and install o burn it that way, is there some kind of a setting or something that went out of wack??
Hi
How old is this laptop? If it is brand new, then you
should be able to send it back to acer. Its the problem with drive or mainboard not with the drivers.
Thanks
