Look on the back of the unit. You;ll need a small philips head screw driver. Often the drive is removble with one or two screws. Check YouTube for video.

HARD DRIVE NOT EXIST ERROR!!!

If you installed Linux successfully on your hard disk then the hard disk is OK.
If you are installing Windows Xp and it does not detect the hard disk but the BIOS detects the hard disk then -
The problem is that XPinstallation CD does not have a SATA driver, unless you have a SATA drive on adisk etc. and can install the driver when XP asks for a hard drive driver then,XP cannot detect the hard disk and therefore won't install XP.The FIX.Go into the BIOS anddisable the SATA drive (enable IDE emulation), this will make XP think it is aIDE/PATA hard disk. Then you can install XP normally. When Windows hasbeen installed then install all the device drivers (including the SATA driver),then shut down and boot up and got into the BIOS and enable the SATA drive.

My hard disk is 80gb but it shows in my computer only 32gb

Hello!

Maybe your Hardisk is partitioned. Go to control panel> Administrative Tools> Computer Management> Disk Management.

It will display the size of partitioned drive.

Hi when try to boot my laptop it says hp 3f0 and hard disk not exist. Can i get back all my files/pics without before creating a partion recovery? Can you please set me instruction and by the way...

Hi mohamed04,

I recommend you to perform an HDD self test so we can understand if you have a faulty HDD or just a Software problem caused by any windows update or virus that might have corrupted your windows boot file.

For performing an HDD self test you should turn on the unit and when HP invent logo appears press " ESC " key, then you will have access to other menu where you should select option " F2 - System Diagnostics" and then " F4 - Hard disk Test" . After process finishes it will provide you a message with " success" or #xx Fail".

You need a new hard drive and install fresh windows operating system. Maybe after that you can try to put your old hard drive to external enclosure hard drive and try to recover your computer will recognize the hard drive. Hope this helps,

HRH

Disk Full 51 Restore points

Delete some of the "older" restore-points, to make room for more restore-points to be written.

Acer T-180 hangs at "Verifying DMI Data"

The cause of this problems is a corrupt boot files, Settings for hard disk drive are not correct,Floppy diskette or CD in computer causing issue, Boot devices not set properly, BIOS corrupt or misc. hard disk jumper setting not set properly, Connections loose or disconnected, Bad Hard disk drive or other bad hardware.

Note: Try this first. Check the cable setting of your hard disk in the BIOS. try swithching it to IDE, SATA, RAID. save your seetings and restart your computer.

if problem still exist... Follow this steps..

Step 1: If you have a USB stick with capacity of 4Gb and up or another hard disk... try installing a fresh Operating System in the USB stick or in the extra hard disk that you have.. after you install.. boot to bios and set the Primary boot in the extra hard disk or Removable Device (USB) save your settings and restart.. your computer will start normally booting the windows in your newly installed extra hard disk or USB stick. when you are in the Desktop, now try accessing your old hard disk and copy your files.. after you backup your files to the new installed hard disk. go to step 2.

Step 2: Turn off your computer... uninstalled the newly installed hard disk or USB.. after you uninstalled the hardware.. turn on your computer and reinstall your Operating System again. if the problem still exist go to step 3.

Step 3: if the problem stil exist. i think ther is something wrong with your hard disk.. try installing the OS again in second partitioned of your hard disk.. create first partition, then second partition. then installed your OS in second partition... if the problem still exist and you cannot go to windows desktop.. maybe your hard disk drive is damaged...

Hope I Can Help
