Please be more specific: is it bios or windows password? For windows, the simplest things to try are:
1. check CAPS
2. check NUMLOCK to be off
3. restart your device and try logging again.
4. try user: Administrator and password blank (if you are lucky) then change/clear your password
4. use external boot device and boot an utility to help you reset/clear windows password (Hirens boot or other tools)

Can you please provide more details. Is it locked with a Windows Login password, or Locked with a BIOS password?

A forgotten or lost router password cannot be recovered. It can only be reset by hard resetting the router. Press the reset button for few seconds then you can login using default username and password.....

login pasword and bios password are totally diferents....for login password use hirens boot cd..

When turn on your machine press F2 to enter in the BIOS Menu and look for Master Password or Pasword an ddisable it.

You have to either reinstall the operating system but for that you need the recovery discs. second option is you can try to login to the administrator account in safe mode and reset the pasword from there.
If you are not able to arrange the disc or login to the safe mode you would have to download a third party software to crack the password

If you need your default password it usually, is LOGIN: admin PASSWORD: admin. But please download your user manual, and it is all in there.If you simply cannot remember, one that you have entered, then you simply need to reset the router, it's in the manual, and then use the default, admin admin to login and password. then you can set it all up again, this time save your password.
