That's still considered wireless in order for you to talk and hear your friends talk that cord that goes into the Controller to the headset or mixer is the only way you can talk but if you don't want to talk you can go to the settings on the xbox and play though speakers

Cannot hear anyone and noone can hear me?

Hi there,

Try to plug out your mic and put it back
Try to see if the volumes from the inline controller is turned up
If you're using the PS3 check your settings from the manual: http://support.madcatz.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/94/58/tritton-audio-manuals
If you're using an Xbox, it might be the chat cable is faulty so submit a ticket to Mad Catz and they'll send you one: http://support.madcatz.com/Tickets/Submit

On my XBOX 360 I am getting a crackling noise in my headphones when I have my microphone plugged into the wireless controller. I have tried two other known good controllers and the problem is still p

This sounds like it is probably an issue with your wireless controller. If there is any way for you to safely blow into the tiny hole that you plug your headset into in an attempt to clear any dust or debris from that area it would be in your best interest.

If not, try a third headset-- the same issue means either play without a headset or purchase a new controller.

Hope this was helpful!

When playing online on my xbox 360, my tritton 180 universal headset works, but ppl can't hear me talk. Help.

Hi,

Do you have the chat cable connected?

Is the mic turned off on the inline volume controller?

Is the Chat volume turned up on the inline volume controller?

Test the microphone on a PC by plugging in the USB into a PC and test if it works.

If it doesn't then you can ask for a spare microphone from TRITTON / Madcatz.

If the mic works on the PC then the problem might be with the chat cable which you can also ask from TRITTON or Madcatz.

Hope it helps...

When i use this phone while using my laptop computer, people say "you're breaking up" or "i cant hear you" when I can hear everyone else talking. i am sitting across the room from the internet wireless...

its not the router thats the problem or you would always be having interfierence, its most likely the signals given off by your laptop.. sometimes for whatever reason the 2 types of waves in the air decide to cancel eachother out and those bringing the signal to your phone are being ubstructed.. best solution is to either use a different phone or not use the laptop while on the phone, to rule out some of it you could try turning off your laptop's wireless while having phone issues to see if reception gets any better...

Connected to access point but internet cannot be found

check the DNS settings that your router is passing.

some routers dont always talk the same language (they are suppose too thought) with other manfactures hardware. it might not be passing the DNS info to the computer.

get the DNS from the router (http://192.168.1.1) then place that into windows. network connections => device name => properties => TCP/IP v4 => bottom box where it says DNS.

if the router doesnt have DNS settings to give plug the cables in and reset the router and modem.

When I talk no one can hear me but I hear them

If your X3's microphone is working, you should be able to hear yourself in the headset when you talk into it. Plug the chat-controller cable in both the headset and the controller, then talk into the X31 mic. Can you hear yourself in the headset? If yes, then the microphone is OK but you probably need a new chat-controller cable. If not, then the microphone may be broken and you should contact Turtle Beach tech support at [email protected].

I can hear people talk but they can't hear me.

Sounds like this could be a volume control that might be on your PC and not the headset. Be sure all your levels are set correctly and all the correct audio hardware settings are in. Reason I say this is some sound cards and maybe even the drivers themselves might receive and play at a different volume than the transmit side of your Skype connection. Not sure but check to be certain.
