Dell inpiron bios A07 run A07/run set up/system or admin password ! please help
My dad gave me a dell inspiron 1200 that he got from a yard sale a few years ago and when i turn it on it access bios A07 then asks me to run set up and finally takes me to dell.com mini page that asks me to enter the system or admin password. i have the slightest clue to which what it could be but so far i know just pressing enter and typing randomness in it multiple times does not work. i have tried to run safe mode but no access. ive tried every f-key and nothing. i have also tried removing the cmos battery for 30 seconds to 5 minutes. npthing again. cant seem to figure this out. i also do not have any original starter cds and id rather not have to spend 40 dollars for bios removal either. please help. its driving me mad. atleast to completely reset it or format any memory. please.......!!!

There are two memory slots on this model, but there is no "Onboard" memory. Without the memory that you removed, your laptop will not post. It sounds like a dead motherboard issue to me, especially since you have pretty much torn it down to barebones. Rarely, this can also be caused by the processor but it is less likely. Unfortunately, since you cannot keep it running, there isn't much chance of diagnostics. I hope this helped.
