At sony kp-53hs30 power on 3 slow then 7 fast blinks, after that 6 blinks over and over again. no picture or sound.

If you turn it on and the, Power/Standby green light blinks slow 6 times; then it becomes a red fast blink 6 times, pause, then continues to blink red fast 6 times, again and again. this means when it's blinking 6 times is indication of electrical circuitry malfunction. The Television will need service.

According to the tech manual I looked at, it's a bad board - it just doesn't say which board. Sorry. Looks like it's making a trip to the shop.

he 6 blinks indicates the loss of 5 volts on the emitter of Q714 on the A Board. This 5 volts
is supplied from
the 5 volt regulator IC 2 (A Board) which receives 6 volts from the G Board.

It can be from alot of things better bring it to technical service its class A it heavy for do it your self :((( you can order the boards but they will cost alot

The light is blinking a code. The code will be a series of blinks, a pause and the blinks again. Phone Sony service and give them this code. They will be able to advise you as to the problem.

Is the led blinking? If so how many blinks as thats an error code.

Q8035 or Q8038 are shorted on the D board

your flyback is bad on the D board thats what makes the led blink 8 times replace the flyback and you should be fine. If you need a link on where to get the flyback and instructions on how to change it let me know and I will post a link

3 blinks- B+ detected over 150V...135V normal. This may not be true but IC5002 thinks it is. OCP and OVP output from upc393 IC5002, also check R5012 0.22ohm 2W
7 blinks- horz deflect stopped Q8035, Q8038 Hout
6 blinks- 5v line missing or shorted
