Doesn't show up when I connect it on a pc or sound system

Do you mean your TV?
Try to check if TV input signal matches with your connection. (Ex: you may connect DVD Player to HDMI 2, but you will not see the video if you select HDMI 1 for your TV input)

Which accessories are a 'most have' for connecting my TV to a desktop pc?

You'll need:
•VGA cable
•S-Video Audio to 3 RCA Type Adapter Cable
•HDMI cable
•DVI cable
Check the connection options on your TV. If your TV has a VGA connection slot, plug the TV into the computer with a VGA cordlike a computer monitor. Connect one end of the VGA cable to the back of the computer and the other end to the TV. Switch between normal TV viewing to displaying your computer on your TV by selecting the proper mode from the remote control, some remotes will mark the proper mode as "VGA" while others will label it "Computer" or "PC."
Check the back of your computer to see if you have an S cable slot. Connect S cable portion of the S-Video Audio to 3 RCA Type Adapter Cable to the computer and plug in the green audio plug to the audio port of the PC. Plug the red white and yellow RCA cables into the matching colors of the RCA slots on the TV. With this method you will need to switch modes from TV to video.
Check the back of the computer and TV for either DVI or HDMI slots. The slots on your computer must match, you cannot connect a DVI to a HDMI. Plug one end of the corresponding cable into the the back of the TV and the other end into the computer. Choose the correct program mode, HDMI or DVI, from the remote to view the computer from the TV.

PC to TV HDMI poor text quality

You get best picture on any LCD monitor or TV when the PC video resolution is set to the native resolution of the monitor or TV. You need to look at your user manual to find out what the native resolution is in PC mode.

Have Dell Dimension 2400 and wanting to connect to Emerson LD195EMX.. attach to PC Monitor connection but no scrren comes up/// WHat else can I do?

Is the PC monitor connection - a DVI or DVI-I connection a 15-pin VGA connection an RCA video connection?
Have you set the television input to match the connector used on the TV?
The display resolution on your computer may not be set to a resolution your TV can handle. There is no point trying to put a 1280 by 800 signal into a VGA connector. Start with 640 by 480. However, this will not give you the high resolution you have come to expect from your PC's monitor.
This set also has HDMI input. If your computer has a DVI or DVI-I output, you can buy an adapter that will connect to that HDMI input. Note that this will only handle the video portion of the output from your computer and you will have to use analog connections for the sound and figure out which TV menu input selections allow high definition video with analog sound (not all sets can do this).
Note that LED TVs are not like CRT TVs where an electron beam can put a dot anywhere on the screen. An LED TV has fixed resolution modes.
It might be necessary to use a software product like "PowerStrip" to create a custom resolution mode that will show a high resolution image that will fill the screen of your TV. I wound up using 1352 x 648 to give a full screen image on my LED TV using the HDMI input. ("Your mileage may vary.")
There is a lot more to connecting a high resolution computer display to an LED TV than just plugging it into the "PC Input".

How can I connect my pc to tv

The DV6000 has all the drivers needed to connect to a TV as long as the TV has either a s-video connection or a pc vga input. The vga input is usually blue in color on the tv but on the laptop it may appear dark tan or brown and does not have screws to hold it into place, the plug just fits in and tension holds it in place. Once you connect the cables, change the input on the TV to the type of cable you are using. The laptop should automatically pick up the signal from the device and load the driver for it. The desktop should appear on the tv if the output signal and input are matched. The icons may appear different on the TV if the resolution is not close to a match but that should not be a concern unless it is cutting some of the picture off, in that case all you have to do is change the resolution to one that is easier for the tv to show. The dv6000 allows you to toggle through the video output settings by holding down the Fn key and tapping the F4 key, this will change the display to both laptop lcd and tv, just tv, just laptop lcd etc. It will even let you extend the desktop from the laptop to the tv or from the tv to the laptop, making one long display side to side.

Just need to know where to plug in the red, green and blue cords

The red-blue-green outputs of the cable box are COMPONENT video, and the yellow-white-red inputs on the tv are COMPOSITE video. Although the words sound almost alike and the connectors look similar, they are incompatible signals. You'll need to change either the cable box or the tv so they match. Maybe this would be a good way to rationalize getting that new home theater system! Or maybe call your tv cable company and ask for a different box with composite video output. Once the cable box matches the tv, you don't necessarily need to change the cables. If the connectors fit, go ahead and use the cables you have.
