Cursor moves left when typing in internet explorer

1. Click the Start button , type Programs and Features in the search box, and then click View installed updates in the left pane.
2. Under Install/Uninstall an update, scroll down to the Microsoft Windows section.
3. Right-click Windows Internet Explorer 9, click Install/Uninstall, and then, when prompted, click Yes.
4. Click one of the following:
   • Restart now (to finish the process of installing/uninstalling Internet Explorer 9 and restore the previous version of Internet Explorer).
   • Restart later

Open Explorer, goto
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"
Press with mouse cursor on the icom "right mouse button"
Select "Pin to Start Menu"

Opening the window in Firefox, Internet Explorer, or with your computer's control panel is not a difficult task.
Instructions
Firefox
1 Launch the Firefox browser.
2 Go to the toolbar at the top of the browser and select "Tools."
3 Move the mouse pointer down the tool menu until you get to "Options." Click on that word. Your Firefox Internet Options will immediately open.

Internet Explorer
1 Launch the Internet Explorer browser.
2 Click on the "Tools" menu located on the tool bar, at the top of the browser.
3 Move the mouse cursor down that menu until you get to "Internet Options." Left click on those words. Your Internet Options window will immediately open.

Computer Control Panel
1 Go to the Start Menu.
2 Click on the "Control Panel."
3 Click "Network Internet Options." Then, Click "Internet Options." You will be able to change Internet Explorer options, but not those of other browsers such as Firefox or Google Chrome

Is this Internet Explorer or File Explorer? If its Internet Explorer then try this:

Goto Start > Run
in the Run box type 'explorer' without the quotes
in the address bar of explorer type in the website address you are trying to go to.

If that works then you need to uninstall and reinstall Internet Explorer or better yet uninstal IE and install FireFox.

You are advised to ensure ALL windows updates are installed.

IE8 should be installed as part of these updates, check and install.

To change the security settings(copied from microsoft.com)

If you are using Internet Explorer then follow the instruction bellow to rectify it.

Open Internet Explorer and click on the Tools tab on the top right hand side, then click on Internet options.
In the general tab you see what your home page should be. Highlight the web address and then type in http://www.msn.com. Click on Apply and then OK.

To see if it's worked all you have to do click on the home button at the top.

Enable the AOL Toolbar If the AOL Toolbar is disabled, it will not appear as part of the Internet Explorer toolbar.
To enable the AOL Toolbar in Internet Explorer® 6.0 and earlier:
On the browser window, click the View menu, select Toolbars, then click AOL Toolbar.
To enable the AOL Toolbar in Internet Explorer 7.0:
On the browser window, click the Tools menu on the right side, select Toolbars, then click AOL Toolbar.
To enable the AOL Toolbar in Internet Explorer® 8.0:
On the browser window, click the View menu, select Toolbars, then click AOL Toolbar.
Note: When enabled, a check mark will appear next to AOL Toolbar.

try other programs to see if it works fine there. it could be an issue with the web browser. if you are using Internet Explorer, try using Mozilla FireFox. It is more secure and really easy to use. goto getfirefox.com to get it.
