I have 3 of these 7000pals and 2 have done a similar thing, one of them did it twice. After the Loading Channel Master screen hangs for a time, they would restart. Then the same cycle would keep repeating. It seems like after years of adding and deleting timers, the DVR's software gets "confused". I've noticed that twice it happened on the hour just as a program timer started while I was watching a program through the DVR. ZAP...Locked up! The power button would not even work to turn it off.

The steps below fixed all three instances of this failure.

To unlock the Channel Master CM7000PAL DVR:

1. Unplug the recorder from the wall outlet and DISCONNECT THE ANTENNA. Now plug it back into the wall power outlet.(This will keep the recorder from freezing and rebooting)

2. let it go thru it's normal bootup, tv guide search, etc.

3. When you are able to, hit MENU and then go up to TIMERS. Delete all of the record timers. Unplug it, reconnect the antenna, and plug it back in.

4. After a now a proper bootup, re-program you timers and you will be good to go.

5. And the best thing is, all of your pre-recorded shows will still be there on the hard drive.

I would suggest that you do a yearly "TIMER CLEAN" to avoid this trouble in the future.

ELEC DVR Model PRO-SE-HS2008A'The Following Channel Has No Files: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,7=8!' appears.

Hello Friend,
I am Nitin Khatri from India. 2 reason for this problem.
1. HDD Status OK but not showing recording due to Date changed to old year, month, day, please check camera date and search recording.
2. HDD Status fail, so you need to do following things:-
Your CCTV DVR HDD is not working or got stuck while recording footage, now you need to reset your HDD.
Note:- As you mentioned you replace Computer HDD into DVR, it means your have installed Normal HDD in CCTV DVR which is a bad idea, your CCTV technician should inform you that time when he installed that normal HDD in DVR. CCTV DVR HDD called Surveillance HDD which RPM rate is higher and can work well for recording footage buy a Western Digital Surveillance HDD and Install into your CCTV DVR for future safety.

What is DISH Solo DVR VIP 612 Limited Mode?

You can program your remote control in Limited Mode to keep from accidentally changing the channel on your TV or VCR and causing a snowy or blue screen.

  • When the remote control is in Limited Mode for TV mode, you will only be able to use POWER, MUTE, and VOLUME functions for your TV.
  • When the remote control is in Limited Mode for VCR mode, you will only be able to use POWER and the VCR functions for your VCR.
Note: Limited Mode is not used with amplifiers (AUX mode).

I hope that helps.

Phillips 40PFL3505D 42 inch tv stuck in channel search mode , continuous cycle

You can try to go back to factory settings.
After that disconnect the power from the TV and wait for about an or two hours. Then put on the power and try to make the installation complete from the start.
