No Burner Light?

Hello, We have a N-0842-MC-NG that is around five years old. Recently, on our very cold below zero days, it has been taking quite a while to heat up, maybe five minutes. Today it is not heating at all. I don't know if the cold is a coincidence. It has power and flow. The burner light is not on. Do you have any advice? Thank you, Judi

SOURCE: I have a new Atwood

If it's manual light, then only dial or lever on gas control is adjustable, and you can try turning it up a little at a time. It will increase water temperature so be careful, but that should also make it kick back in sooner as well. If it's electronic ignition, there is 2 or 3 heat settings available in thermostats ( little disc behind foam cover under pressure relief valve) . Obviously on those, if you choose higher temperature, it cuts back in sooner as well. If you have electric element, they have a thermostat on rear of water heater as well, behind electrical connection box. If your not 100% sure what I'm saying here, get back with model number of heater inside cover and I'll tell you your options. Please remember to be careful of scalding when you turn up the temperature.

No Hot Water

change your thermocouple; it is the brass colored pencil like metal rod that sits over the burner and has a tube attached to the end of it the tube goes to the main gas valve; unscrew the thermocouple at the gas valve and remove it the main gas valve opens when the thermocouple gets hot by being in the pilot flame

What does it take to convert a Rinnai R75LS water heater from propane to natural gas?

Contact Rinnai.
Gas control valve is different, burner is different, burner and gas valve must match, threads are regular instead of reverse, dip switches probably have to be changed since combustion of NG is not as hot. Maybe different sensors. Pressures are lower with NG.

Bosch tankless watwer heater GWH 2700 ES NG - no error codes. I have low water flow on my hot water and unit will not start? reviewed trouble shooting guide, tried everything - no solution?

Hi,
The unit is plugged up with mineral buildup from the water going through it... it will need to be cleaned internally....this is done by running an acid solution through it to clean out the mineral buildup...

Then it will work again...

Our Bosch 2400E NG tankless water heater is displaying the EC code. I've checked the ionization electrode (rubbed it with a pencil eraser as instructed once before when we had this problem) and I also made...

Had same problem on my five year old water heater (ec error). Didn't figure it was a gas supply problem after five years but double checked to see if the gas bill was paid. It was.

Cleaned the contacts on the two sensors that are clamped to copper pipes inside. Still had error after powering up. Held the error button in for about five seconds, and the blinking EC code went away.

Does it happen to any other fixture? If not, it's most likely your shower valve and not heater.

Bosch tankless GWH 1600 H NG won't always ignite. The igniter sparks, but doesn't always light the gas. It just clicks. When installed it lit every time, now it takes more and more tries to get it to...

The manual says to hold a match near the pilot while the ignitor is trying. It says that if the unit lights the pilot orifice may be dirty or clogged. Then the manual says to check the voltage on the igniter. It should be 1.3 volts DC minimum if it is not means the electronic control box is defective.

Let me know the status ...Kevin
