Samsung digital S760 camera won't turn on

may be the snap button is not working, apply some contact cleaner around the button press it an release several times, it will work.

Replace the battery's or fully charge the Ni-cad.. IF you have done this, Do you have a "Flash card or Data card? You might have to Format it.. A bad Data card will give the camera an Error, and won't turn on.. IF you have Pictures on your card Some people Can Read the bad Data and still get the pics off... If you dont care about whats on the card just Format it in a computer that has a port to insert the card... Good luck.. P.S. some camera's have a second set of "Memory" battery's, the ones that keep the date and stuff in order.. You might want to change them, They are "Button" batterys looks like the ones for a watch.. Should be 3 of them. Right next to the AA's or AAA's main batterys . Enjoy... BCB

Charge for 1 hour.
Pull battery's and see if they have power.
If Power is good Make sure they are in correctly
If Dead Replace battery's. ,

The only other thing it Might be, You said the Camera was New, But if the battery's hold a charge the Battery Door might have lost it's Contacts and the battery's won't work without it, It may have been returned to the store before you got it..

Try these procedures.

it could be the flash tube,, have you banged the camera ???

You may have gotten a light debris in the lens. Just the littlest amount will cause the lens to jam. Try a can of compressed air and blowing it out.

ok, have you pressed power button 1 time? if you hae, then press play button on bottom left of menu/ok circle.

First you can select a desired camera mode by using the Mode dial on the top of the camera. Below picture is Mode selector.

Simply first press flash button which is shown in the fugure below.





Press a few times to the flash button. So that you set the desired flash position. Positions are shown below.

Now you can take a picture.

If nothing is happening with new or charged to full batteries, then repair is needed.
Or sell as is on a site such as Ebay for parts.
Get a new one.
Repairs will probably cost too much, how ever repair can still be an option if the camera is very costly, always consider if it is still under warranty.

Yes you are correct lens is struck

* Carefully inspect around it for dirt or debris

* If you see any dirt or debris around the lens, use canned air to gently blow it away

* After removing dirt and debris, turn the camera on and off

This should work
