Plantronics Noise Cancelling headset H261N hearing others problem

Re: I can hear them, but they can't hear me on the headset/amplifier below.

I am beginning to try to use a M12 Plantroics Amplifier with the N261N [noise canceling]  Plantronics headset.  I can hear others but they cannot hear me.  I have tried adjusting the compatibility slide on the side and the voice control with the little plastic screwdriver. Also my boom on my headset is positioned 2 fingers away with the correct side toward my mouth?  On the M12 amplifier, I have all showing Green- headset and mouth----- with the amplifier at 8.

Is there anything that I can do to fix this?

Thanks

Where is the other end of your amplifier connected? To a computer, to a phone?
Did you connect correctly the mircophone to your amplifier and from your amplifier to the correct plug?

Make noise

I'm sorry but intermittent noise is like telling your mechanic you hear a rattle somewhere in your car. Like that poor mechanic, I'm going to take a stab at your problem. Check pages 6-8 in the user guide below and see which "noise" best fits your situation. You can generally fix it by powering down your headset and then powering back up (instructions are in the same guide).

I have tried all configurations settings with my new Plantronics S11 headset, and with some I can hear on the headset, but the caller can't hear me. With others the caller can hear me, but I can't...

You need to remember a couple of things when using amplifiers and headsets. Normally they will not work if you connect them to a phone with cordless accessories. Also, you need to make sure that you're connecting the amplifier to the HANDSET jack on the phone (this requires removing the handset off of the phone to access an open line). Give that a try and you should be fine. If not, contact your retailer or Plantronics at 800-544-4660 x5538 for warranty service.

I have a Plantronics C610 headset. The caller can hear me, but I can not hear the caller.

Here are a couple of things you can try. I included the link for the user guide below.

Callers cannot hear me.
• Headset is muted. Press the mute button on headset to unmute the microphone.
• Headset microphone boom aligned incorrectly. Align the headset boom with your mouth.
• The USB adapter is not set as the default Voice device. Use the Voice settings in Windows under Sounds and Voice Devices to select "Plantronics C610/C620" as the voice device.

When I make a call using the bluetooth, I can hear who I am talking to through the bluetooth, but they can't hear me?????

Make sure both devices are fully charged. Turn off your phone and disconnect the battery for about 30 seconds (this helps to reset the phone). Make sure there are no other bluetooth devices interfering with the connection. Turn off your headset and carefully follow the pairing instructions on the link below for the Plantronics Discovery 925.

I recently purchased a plantronics h171 headset for my snom 320 phone. I can hear fine but no one can hear me

This is a common problem if you are using a 2.5mm patch cable instead of the Vista M22 amplifier. Phones do not put out enough power to the 2.5mm jack. If you are using the Vista M22 amplifier make sure the batteries are fresh and installed correctly. Also sometimes a voice tube can become clogged with debris which can restrict the airflow and people will not be able to hear you.

I have Plantronics voyager Pro headset. The microphone is not working. The receiving end cannot hear me

Try deleting your Plantronics Voyager Pro from your phone and then repair them to each other. Sometimes this does correct any issues you may be having. The link for the user guide is included below.

I am putting the link for the user guide for the 500A amplifier below. Look at page 9 for Mute Button instructions. This should help you to determine whether your headset is muted or not.

Here's the troubleshooting from the manual:
  • Make sure voice tube positioned properly
  • Voice tube is not clogged (remove tube and see if works)
  • Verify transmit volume control of amplifier is set properly
Couple other suggestions to try:
  • Reseat all connections to make sure firm connection
  • Look for any other volume controls

NBX 3102 Headset jack stops working

You should be using a plantronics a-10 interface cable if you are using hardwire headsets. get rid of the m-20 amplifiers. I support 280 of these phones and the best solution is to replace the phone. Power cycling the phone will help for a while but the problem will come back.
