How do I cut and paste via a shortcut in Adobe Photoshop

By default, the shortcut key for paste is "Cntrl + V", where copy is Cntrl C, and cut is Cntrl X.

If you'd like to program a shortcut key for a program, say, notepad.. Find the notepad icon you use to launch it, right click, properties, Shortcut, shortcut key.

If you're the proud owner of a copy of Photoshop CS3, don't forget to download a newly available update. The update deals with a few issues that were discovered after PS CS3 was realeased. You will probably have gotten a message automatically about this from the Adobe Updater but the patcher/updater is available for download from Adobe.com now.

You need Adobe professional to acquire the web page or use the print screen feature through Microsoft word then import.

If you search for "basic photoshop tutorials" on the web there is a lot of material out there to help you learn to use this application.

If you had a prior version of Elements on your computer, make sure you have uninstalled it via Add/Remove Programs. This process doesn't remove everything, however. You also have to remove the database cache file manually. To do this, navigate to c:\Program files\Common files\Adobe\Adobe pcd\cache\ and delete the file named "cache.db" by dragging it to the recycle bin. After I did this, my install went fine.

Photoshop has many kinds of tool to make copy (or cut) and paste, such as magic wand, pen, lasoo, etc. For simple cut & paste, use the simple selection tool, see my picture the left arrow. Click on it then make the selection on the picture you want to copy/cut. Then click copy (or cut) and put your cursor in the place you want to paste --> click paste.
Slice tool is more for making webpage, not for cut and paste.
For detail, you can click "help" menu in the Photoshop.
