Phone not reading simcard

If you removed the sim card while the phone was powered on, it's possible that the card was damaged or the data was corrupted. You can try putting the sim card in an adapter and checking it with your computer. You may have to format the card again, then reinstall it in your phone, then power on your phone again.

How to install sim card

For most of the phone, sim card will be install at the back of your mobile phone. These are the steps on how to: 1. Turn off your mobile phone. 2. Remove the back case gently. 3. Remove the battery as well. 4. Theres instruction at the back of your phone on where to place the simcard and on how to insert it. 5. Make sure you properly inserted the sim card so you wont recieve offline mode error. 6. Plug back the battery. 7. Return the back cover. 8. Turn on your phone, then your good to go. remember that there are some phones wherein the simcard slot is on the side part of the phone. for this kind of phones, all you have to do is just lift the cover of the simcard slot then slowly insert the sim properly then turn on the phone and your good to go.

I have a boostmobile simcard and i want to put the tmobile simcard inside the sidekick slide.but when i do it ask me for a special code is there a special code for me to start using it?

you actually need to unlock your phone to use the simcard not just a code. boost mobile and tmobile run and different networks to its not as simple as putting in a different sim card.

"sim card registration failed" will

is this happens to other sim you inserted on your phone...if still occurs it seems you have a loose simcard socket..or the copper contact itself miss a connection...
try to clean your sim esp. the copper surface also do the same in the simcard slot..
put your sim and gently apply force or put a ply of paper on top of the sim and close the phone cover. turn ON your phone and check if the sim already register....nice day

Where to put simcard in computer

Most computers don't have inbuilt SIM card readers. What you need to do is buy a USB SIM card reader. Relatively cheap, like this one for example:

Enjoy :)

Insert simcard nokia 7200

hi the only one thing you can try without replacing the sim card reader is do you know when you put the simcard in if you push on the simcard with your finger so your pushing it down onto the contacts is fold up some paper so that it put pressure onto the simcard when you put the battery on as alot of times the contacts dont touch the sim card properly so putting some folded paper on top of sim card pushes it down onto the contacts properly.
This solves the problem in most cases but it can be difficult to get right as if the paper isnt thick enough then it might not push it down hard enough to make contact.
If after doing this it still dont work then this either means the sim cards no good but you could try it in another phone or it could be that the sim card reader is not connecting with the board properly and would need replacing.
Make sure you check the contacts are clean on the sim card and the sim card reader to make sure this isnt problem.
If you have not tried the sim card in a different phone then it could be the sim card is no good.
Did this sim work in the phone before just in case the phone dont accept that network as you can get this message if this is the case.

Let me know how you get on and if you need further assistance ok
