The ideal time is 75,000 miles. I see owner delay the change up to 120,000 miles. (not recommended)
Timing belt, water pump and tensioner should be change at the same time.

Toyota cam seals hi mileage 245000 are not leaking at this time never been changed doing timing belt if I change them what steps should I do. Should i install silcone out side of seal? White grease in

Me personally I would leave them , on high milage cars once u desturb them u might not get them to seal again as cam might be worn . Don't fix what's not broken

I just bought a Kia Carens Diesel Auto 2003 model LX. Can you tell me if this has a cam belt or a chain? If a cam belt, what are the recommended miles to get a new belt fitted?

check the timing cover and if it is plastic it will be a belt operation. If it is aluminium and sealed off then it will be a chain. Belts are recommended for a change at 60.000 miles (100.000 klms) but this depends on driving conditions ( constant high rpms) and oil on the belts ( oil reduces the servicability of a rubber belt considerably)

I have a2004 passat the check oil light stays on and the level is ok.also what kind of milage do you change the cam belt

If the oil light stays on, there's a lack of oil pressure somewhere, If you haven't changed the oil and filter for a year, I'd try that first.

For cam belt changes, its best to check a drivers manual. You'd need a dealer or the VW website for that.

Here's a URL for a review site for your car, should have some interesting info:-

Finally the cam belt, first make sure it is a belt and not a chain, if its a chain, no need to worry. If its a belt, the rule of thumb is every 40,000 miles.

When do the cam belts require changing. Is the change time based or milage based

they say 100,000 miles now, i still think that 50,000 how it was 10-15 years ago is still right, milage based, I think waiting 100,000 is to long not worth losing motor over belt

Cam Belt change

Hello mike_potts07: My name is Roger and I will answer your question. The suggested miles to change your timing belt is 60,000 miles. This is manufacturers recommended service interval. Also this motor is an interference motor. What that means is if the timing belt breaks. The valves in the head will be hit by the pistons. This will bend all valves that are open at that time.
Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer you received. This way we can tell the information was helpful. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

Cam belt change on a kia sedona recommended milage

The recommended interval for changing the timing belt is in the owner's manual. Generally, this is every 60,000 miles.

Charlie

P.S. I found the data on the internet and, it is indeed 60,000 miles.
