The easiest go around would be to get the cheapest thing there and demanding the remainder in change, sort of as a cash back option, he should not be able to refuse this even if he doesn't like it. Try going to a cashier or someone without him noticing as you do it, while a little sneaky it most likely will result in less trouble. If you still cannot get through this way you are going to want the most "liquid" thing you can get, meaning you want something that is easiest turned back into cash whether through someone you know would want and pay for it or even someone in the store wants and you could get as much of your money back as possible. Good luck and remember be calm, getting angry will only make things more difficult. You can rant once you've got your money back.

Help, I have a casio se-g1 model register. when i turn the key to PGM it doesn't enter program mode, it stays in RF mode. What do i do?

You have been doing refunds in the RF mode but you didn't finish. Go back to RF mode and finish e.g CASH if you were refunding in cash. Then you can change mode.

How do I refund a client on my cash register?

It depends upon the model and the programming. On most machines, you press the refund button, then the product, then the payment type for refund e.g cash

Lost receipt, item purchased this tuesday, want exchange on wm top

If you paid with ATM debit card or Credit Card, call your bank and get a current statement of all your recent purchases. Ask the store if this will be enough proof for them to give you a refund. Hope you did not pay cash, but maybe the store can track the payment for that day and the time on their computers.

Not sure how to log a refund using the pcr-t2100?

Hi. Press RF then type the amount to refund, then press the item. If you have preset prices already on the items, then just press RF then the item. Finish with a payment type e.g CASH

HOW TO REFUND

Hi.
You just press RF before the item and this will make it negative.
So you would press RF, then type price, then press item button (department) then refund method - usually CASH.

If you still have trouble, just let me know.
