SOURCE: Bosch Dishwasher beeps during cycle

If you wish to eliminate or reduce the volume of the end of cycle beep you can do so by powering off the unit and turning back on while holding the right button “Cancel/Reset”. The beep has 3 volumes levels and silent, press the right “Cancel/Reset” button to cycle through the settings. Power the unit back off to save your setting.

SOURCE: New Bosch dishwasher mold before cycle

The Bosch is a very good dishwasher and it is very airtight. I would suggest you NOT leave the dishes inside that long, and always use the Power Scrub Plus cycle if you have it. It will get the water as hot as possible so mold does not continue to grow in the plumbing and filters.

It is NOT the dishwasher unit causing the problem.

How do i operate a basic bosch dishwasher

On many Bosch dishwshers (especially those with the controls on top), they expect your to press the appropriate cycle and option(s) buttons, and then press the Start key, ALL WITH THE DOOR OPEN. Immediately after pressing the START button, close the door (within 3 seconds), and the dishwasher should start.

On other Bosch dishwashers, if you open the door, the poser button is automatically turned off. On those models, you must close the door, turn the Power button ON, and THEN press the appropriate cycle & options buttons. If your dishwasher has a START button, then press it; otherwise just wait 10 second with the door closed.

See? There is no such thing as a "basic bosch dishwasher". Next time, if you have a question, please provide the model number of your dishwasher (or other appliance).

Bosch built in dishwasher shu4302uc The dishwasher appears to run through the cycle but the cycle takes over three hours. When the cycle finally finishes the dishes are not completely dry. Is there a way...

There are no adjustments for cycle timing. What does affect timing is temperature of the water coming into the DW. The hotter your supply water, the shorter the time to cycle, BUT if your water is too hot, the cycle time may become too short to light the NSF 'Sanitize' indicator. But since the cycle is taking so long, this is an indication that the DW's water heater is not heating the water hot enough to advance the countdown timer in a timely manner. The control logic is waiting for the temp to come up to an appropriate level to ensure adequate washing, rinsing or drying times. Likely your display is showing '1' for a long time as a symptom of this problem, as well.  - This link http://www.applianceaid.com/boschDW.html has procedures to run self-tests on various Bosch models. I suspect that you can confirm a 'heater fault' on your unit by running the self-test.  - This problem invariably relates to a 'heater fault' which has usually been traced to an open solder joint on the control board located behind the switches/indicator lights on front door. If you have a Torx driver, soldering iron & bit of solder, you can effect a repair yourself in about an hour. Otherwise, a replacement control board is required.
If you'd like to attempt replacing the control board yourself, refer to this link for part & DIY information. http://www.appliancejournal.com/appliance-parts/bosch-appliance-parts/bosch-dishwasher-control-module-266746-37/
- Else, place a service call to the tech of your choice.
